It's possible. Each button has a trigger a note action now. Basically, button press become a note trigger which also reflect the note's on off state if the button is a toggle button.
If you want to control each drum's pan and volume, you need to put them in different groups. Each group's gain and pan can be assigned to knobs.

Sorry to dig up a year old thread but is it possible for a Drum Plugin to send Note Names to the Host DAW ?

How to assign a pitch knob to each single drums ? Not a général pitch. Thanks
