Hello all,
I'm a noob when it comes to computer audio editing.
Can anyone show me an easy way to get audio files from Audacity back into MULab in the original location?
It should be almost automatic according to the MULab manual.
However, the only way I have been able to do it is to right click on the audio file in MuLab, then its
very simple to get the file into Audacity (Audacity opens automatically). I make the changes in Audacity and then I need to save the altered audio file back into the MUlab song folder. Then I need to import the audio file back into MULab .
That works but the audio file does not always go back to the same location. Which creates more work to try to line it back up again.
There must be an easier way, something I am missing?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

1. Right-click the audio stream, choose Edit in external editor (or Edit in audacity if it's already set - it'll ask you if you want to set it if you haven't: set it now)
2. Do your edit in Audacity
3. Export audio from Audacity, overwriting original file in place
4. Exit Audacity (no save)
5. Mulab pops up the following:

6. Click "Yes"
7. Your audio is back in Mulab in place

If you don't get the pop up or you don't see "External Edit Mode" whilst you're in Audacity, you're not using the "Edit in <external editor>" menu item (which will say "Edit in audacity" once you choose that as your editor).
