Currently, Patchwork Standalone receives MIDI from all available inputs (see the PDF user manual, page 22). Most MIDI drivers can't serve multiple clients at the same time. So, when Patchwork Standalone is running, other applications don't have access to many MIDI ports. (I'm on Windows but I assume the same is true on Macs.)
When using Patchwork Standalone for live performance, this is usually not a problem. But I want to have it running in the background while I am using my DAW. Patchwork would be using audio I/O that is not used by the foreground app. I need it to respond to MIDI CC and/or program change messages from one specific MIDI device without interfering with my DAW's use of other MIDI devices.
Therefore my feature request is to add a MIDI Setup item to the Edit menu, underneath Audio Setup. Thank you.

MIDI I/O selection has indeed been on the list for a while, we need to work on this!
