No problems here with Juno but be aware that if you're in the US you could be waiting a long time once it gets to customs. I've heard of people waiting over a month (from other European sellers, not necessarily Juno) because it's stuck at customs. Last time I ordered from Juno was pre-pandemic and it got to me overnight here in the US.

I see a cool sale on Best Service The Orchestra, but I also see there's a The Orchestra Complete version.

Is the non-complete version an excellent product in its own right, or would one want the complete upgrade to feel they have a full package?

Looks to me like The Orchestra is the bread and butter part of the complete package. So I'd say yes. But you're probably better wait for someone who actually used these products to confirm that.

What kept me from even considering either one was the fact that only the Complete has this:

The Orchestra Complete also features the new MIDI-Export feature which allows you to drag and drop all five internal sequence tracks directly into your DAW as MIDI files.

So no MIDI Export in The Orchestra, you have to upgrade to Complete. Seems like a feature that shouldn't need an expensive upgrade.

Unfortunately it is true that the non-Complete version doesn't have the MIDI Export feature.

I just did some tests (I own Complete). It turns out it is true that you can record Kontakt's MIDI output if you set it up correctly - in Kontakt's global settings you need to enable "MIDI Notes" and "MIDI CC" in "Send MIDI to outside world". However, it's not very useful to do so. All of the data for all five parts gets output on MIDI Channel 1, so you end up with a single MIDI clip containing all the notes and CCs jumbled together. Especially with the CCs there's not really any way to separate them. And worse, even if you mute some of the parts in The Orchestra, the script engine still generates all the data and so they still get recorded. So there's no way I can see to get the various parts out, certainly not without a lot of work.

With Complete's MIDI Export feature, once you've played a section once, you can just drag-and-drop to your DAW and it comes over as five clean separate tracks.

It's a shame... I think The Orchestra is great software, but the Complete expansion is kind of non-optional, and with the expansion it really feels a bit overpriced even at this sale price. The sounds are very good but not world-class, and it lacks things that other orchestral libraries at this price point have like multiple mic positions. I'm glad I own it but I have a bit of a tough time recommending it. Personally I wish they would sell the Ensemble Engine as a separate product with no sounds at all, like a bespoke orchestral arpeggiator.

You should at least have posted the line prior to the bits you quoted. "Our returns policy: Without prejudice to your statutory legal rights which remain unaffected, we operate the following returns and refunds policies:"

The bits you did quote are about goods damaged in transit and seem to be similar to other places i have bought from in the past. If you just decide you dont want the product you are still covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations, as the line you didn't quote makes clear.

I'm in the uk and not affiliated with juno just a happy purchaser from them in the past.

my only advice would be to double check that the stuff you install doesn't install other s***. My wife wasn't careful and her computer had this annoying banner pop up every time she started the computer (it was some kind of ad) after installing magixx or something .

Hmmm $675 worth of software for $25 just feels off but if you've dealt when them in the past.

Did you get the software from the developer's websites or was it delivered in another way ?
