Are you using a Mac or PC and which OS (if it's a PC)?

For me, it did all of that, but eventually said "Updates still available". Basically, it did not update (automatically). Don't know why this different in behaviour (I am on Windows though). I did follow the "add folder to exclusions" article, but did not help for this problem. Looking forward to an update that fixes this and any other issues.jinotsuh wrote: Sat Aug 15, 2020 2:24 am I installed and tried the new Product Manager, it said I had 2 products that had updates, which was true, told it to go ahead and update, which it did, all good, both updated without issue, and show the correct versions in use.
Overall, the IK Product Manager looks great and is a huge step forward in the right direction. Thanks, IK!

Why is "search instruments" function not working? I am on the latest version.
Two requests please:
1. Can we a master volume slider for SampleTank?
2. Can we have previous/next instrument arrows?

Isn't the Master slider on the mixer page, or do you mean something else?

An obvious master volume on the preset selector area can be important, especially on a standalone software with numerous collections from diverse sound designers..

I mean the master volume slider that is present on (usually the top area of) each and every other synth on planet earth.Examigan wrote: Sun Aug 16, 2020 10:31 am Isn't the Master slider on the mixer page, or do you mean something else?
As much as I like the sound quality of the library instruments and samples, I hate SampleTank/Syntronik UI and workflow. The more I try to get used to it, the more I get frustrated. I wish I could use the sound library outside of SampleTank/Syntronik.

That is the reason I generally don't like to use the standalone versions of synths. Even if there is a master volume slider, it often jumps to the level set for each preset as you audition presets, frequently an ear splitting and monitor bursting experience!LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Aug 16, 2020 2:21 pmI mean the master volume slider that is present on (usually the top area of) each and every other synth on planet earth.Examigan wrote: Sun Aug 16, 2020 10:31 am Isn't the Master slider on the mixer page, or do you mean something else?
In ST you can use the master fader on the mixer page and it should stay put when you select presets in the channels. Otherwise you can use your DAW and set the channel and/or master fader there.

I agree with you, but even I am not trying to use it in standalone mode excepting when updating database or quickly auditioning some stuff. I will try to follow your suggestions and see I can get used to it better. Thank you.zzz00m wrote: Sun Aug 16, 2020 3:50 pmThat is the reason I generally don't like to use the standalone versions of synths. I didn't really need another clav but I do like them so went for it with the offer price. The recordings seem to come from the same session as those used for the ST4 clav (the Bright DA in Clavitube seems to be more or less the same as the Bright Clav in ST4 once you've disabled the FX). What you get in Clavitube is more pickup variations - though not all the soft, treble etc combos that you can get in something like SonicCouture's Clav for Kontakt. And the samples all seem to be direct-in rather than the instrument noises you tend to get in SonicCouture's stuff, so they are very clean – which you may or may not want. However, if you do like the ST4 instruments, the Clavitube versions will fit right in with those.raven86 wrote: Sun Aug 16, 2020 8:17 pm did anyone pick up Clavitube at 75% off? I missed the sale, much to my regret.
would love to hear a few thoughts on Clavi.
Clavitube does also include a samples from a Hohner E7 in a number of variations including a split bass/treble set called Bari-Tone that lets you mix the bass and treble elements separately for a bit more tonal control.

Funny. When it came out, I actually made a guess they reused old Clav samples from SampleTank for this Clavitube thing. The recordings seem to come from the same session as those used for the ST4 clav (the Bright DA in Clavitube seems to be more or less the same as the Bright Clav in ST4 once you've disabled the FX).
Besides, if this was a completely new product, built from the ground up, they wouldn't be giving it away for 20$ so soon after the release.
Thank you very much.

For anyone interested, Clavitube contains samples of two different keyboards, a Hohner D6 and a Hohner E7.
Now, while the D6 is the same model instrument that appears in the SampleTank 4 MAX library, it is just one pickup setting instead of 7. Additionally, to provide the complete set with maximum depth, we used a massive number of samples (242 versus the 40 used in the SampleTank 4 MAX version) as well as made sure to capture each of the pick-up settings.
In short, we had this in mind during the creation of Clavitube. We even through a couple mentions up on the product page. Essentially, we would hate as musicians to charge twice for the same sounds. Purchasing Clavitube would just expand on the owned sounds from SampleTank 4 MAX, giving you the largest sonic palette possible.
Personally, I would consider the SampleTank 4 D6 an introduction into the expanded Clavitube library.

Hey Ryan, I've got ST4 MAX, and I cannot locate anything resembling a name or description for D6.Ryan_IK wrote: Mon Aug 17, 2020 2:46 pm Purchasing Clavitube would just expand on the owned sounds from SampleTank 4 MAX, giving you the largest sonic palette possible.

What instrument name does that go by in the current sound library?
