Makes you wonder how many wars or at least fights have been fought for simple mis-translations eh?

(they prefer Arturia OB-Xa V).

I stopped reading when it said, "The top dog of plug-in emulation for vintage synthesizers..." is Arturia, as I've never known anyone that knows the market that thought that. If I wanted biased information, I can read my own posts or anyone else's here or on the other forums.
To be fair, the German expression "Platzhirsch" does not necessarily imply that they are "the best". The author was mainly referring to the fact that Arturia have done more software emulations than any other company.
Thank you. I was wondering if there was an issue with translation.
I stand corrected.
Well, maybe not completely. Amazona reviews are really hit and miss, and this one falls squarely in the latter category. He is definitely biased towards Arturia, the audio examples are shite, and his conclusions are very much out of the blue and unsupported by anything in the article itself.

Reminds me of a True Crime show I watched some time ago... there was a interview with someone who said something like "The scene was surreal.". German translation: "It was so real." Um, yeah. Next time I will do the synchro. :P

Totally.

Anyway, it's true that some of their reviewers are better than others.

Regarding translations, Google translated the eierlegende Wollmilchsau literally, I wonder if it means anything to English speakers, probably not 8)
Then again, they have improved, in the past Google simply copied unknown terms untranslated.

Yes, that is the meaning more or less, but the literal English translation probably doesn't mean anything.
I do know the German term, but frankly, I couldn't tell where it came from, I could not deduct its meaning from the individual words used if I didn't know the meaning of the whole term.

I own Obsession and love it, but why would you guys get so insecure about a comparison (not even a review) that prefers Arturia. Especially when nearly any other comparison says Obsession is better. Also, the guy doesn't even say anything bad about it, he says its a great synth but for his ears Arturia is closer to the real sound.
