Using 11.1.0 under Win 10.
Anyone else noticing since 11.1.0 there's a 12-15 second delay in the Search menu before the tags will show? Loops show up immediately, but tags, well, take a while to show up.
Not super-critical, but for us preset-heavy users, it's a nuisance.
Search menu delay?

Actually, on a "moderate" laptop, Collective struggles to bring up it's own menu system - taking 5-15 seconds to build it's preset list (I think this is worse with the current version). And if you click on a patch to audition it before it's completed, I find it will keep creating new instances of collective (in the plugin section) until it finally crashes the sandbox engine, taking down ALL VST's with it, with the bright yellow "!" on each one.

How much RAM go you have, and what CPU?
I have 16 gigs, with a 7th gen Intel processor, and a SSD HDD. I don't have the lag you describe (but don't use Collective all that much).
My old laptop has an Intel chip, 8 gigs ram, and the old SATA HDD drive. Compared to my new laptop, it's slooow. A ram upgrade can do wonders. Due to lack of space on my newer laptop, I've offloaded a lot of my sample libraries to an external SSD drive, and it's still far faster than my old one.
If you have <8 gigs of RAM, definitely try an upgrade.

I got 2 (raid 0) nvme ssd 970 evo. The search is instant. Haven't set custom tags though.Watchful wrote: Tue Aug 18, 2020 11:27 pm Using 11.1.0 under Win 10.

Guess search a sql database, so reading speed and hdd latency especially is crucial.

I use a small number of custom tags, but the problem only appeared with 11.1.0. I just get an empty search pane until the tags magically decide to appear all at once.
