shift and drag arranger window issue?

Hi,
I've noticed that if you hold the shift key and then drag on the arranger whilst stopped it allows you to pan horizontally on the arranger as expected. I've noticed if I do this whilst song is playing the window will move horizontally but it also causes the playhead cursor to stutter and also has the same effect on the audio? I would expect it not to causes the stuttering and just allow you to pan the arrangement window and still play the audio correctly.

Just looked at a project and it is using software rendering and I then tried shift mouse wheel to horizontally scroll whilst playing and it worked correctly!
Must happen with some other circumstances then. I'll keep an eye out.
Waveform really needs a some other modifier for vertical scroll or even some type of modifier to just pan the arranger in all directions. Takes a bit of getting used to navigating about especially vertically.

you can setup right click as a hand tool. alt + shift + drag is magnifier tool. scrolling on track names scrolls vertically. modifier + scroll wheel will move you around as well. so there are ways to get around.
hotkeys are inconsistent though. clip fx block some of them and midi editor has totally different hotkeys without the ability to change them.

I've just made a video demonstrating the stutter on shift drag on timeline whilst playing that I mentioned in OP.
