Lana del Ray...
i domt really know who this is, ive heard/read the name, but not sure ive ever heard or seen her...
which is relevant to this point, she sounds beautiful. but vurt, you just said you're not sure youve heard her?
yes, by sounds beautiful i mean the name, first time i heard it i actually thought it was a place  but it sounded like a mysterious faraway island.
and i guess i cant lose that initial impression, kind of dont want to (knowingly, may have on the radio in a shop obvs) hear or see her, in case im disappointed

BTW - OP (Lookingforaudio) only made this thread to try and appear legit so that they could sell their shit in the trade forums:

They're also apparently an idiot who doesn't understand how to give feedback:

Sure looks like it. I've been saying for a long time if KVR is going to have a minimum post limit then five is way too low. Fifty to hundred would weed out this kind of behavior much better.

I only know her music via her latest album Norman f**king Rockwell! which I initially checked out due to its excellent name and reviews. You should check it out.

I liked visual representation of RC 24 by Native Instruments. Sound was clean too.

I don't know if that's shitty or not. The OP will have to answer that.

EDIT: Also. Just downloaded the Adativerb demo - after listening to YouTube videos, I think I'm going to have to buy this thing. Really nice combination of tools resulting in something that sounds quite beautiful. Like The Mouth meets some reverb. But I have to restart my PC? Still haven't done that bit. What damage has it done? :? :o  :x :!: :help: :borg: :box:  :D

It's not her real name - she chose it on purpose:

"I wanted a name I could shape the music towards," she explained. "I was going to Miami quite a lot at the time, speaking a lot of Spanish with my friends from Cuba - Lana Del Rey reminded us of the glamour of the seaside. It sounded gorgeous coming off the tip of the tongue."

https://www.vogue.co.uk/article/lana-del-rey-interview

She shaped everything towards this. The music, her looks, the videos. It's all part of the art product "Lana del Rey". I find it great and fascinating. I also don't think she sounds like anything I've heard before.

I don't think listening to her will leave you disappointed.

(Just don't watch video interviews or live performances... :hihi:)

I’ve got a strong urge to create a Thread titled “What is the best plugin?”... I really wanna know! :D
When I see those threads I get a strong urge to ask "what is the best post within a 'best Reverb\compressor\eq\saturator' threads"... :D

That is quite magical. Maybe I should pay more attention.
It absolutely is - the art product Lana del Rey is of an absolute grandeur, like a movie-star back from the 50's or so (they use to call it "future retro" btw) - she also totally has the voice for it. And the way she shapes and uses this voice it is extremely recognizeable - unlike Lady Gaga for instance, who can sound like everybody except Lady Gaga (the other day I heard a song on the radio and got excited for a moment because I thought Eurythmics might have come back from the dead).

Add to this a flawless production and an overall concept that is executed with utter caution, self-awareness, conciseness and sure instinct and you end up with a piece of art that is extremely rare - and even more so for something that manages to remain within the boundaries of pop music - not just going by today's standards but in general.

Which - to come back to this thread - is why personally I think this is one hell and a half of an endorsement For Valhalla. It's like the emperor's crown of endorsements.

well thanks for the information.
:)
i may well have to check her out ,sounds even more interesting now.

Not VSTs, but the UAD plugins (you need their hardware) include some of the nicest sounding reverbs that I’ve ever heard. If you’re looking for a way to keep your CPU cool and get fantastic quality reverbs, I highly recommend them.

In VST world I like all the usual suspects, but I actually get a lot of use out of Virsyn’s REFLECT. It’s a hybrid convolution/algorithmic approach that uses convolution to get the early stuff right and an algorithm for the tail. Sounds great and is pretty CPU efficient.
