Enabling the Experimental Engine in any capacity breaks the Insert plugin (at least it can't send any audio externally). Once that's addressed, I'll try the Engine again. I'll still use the beta without that feature enabled in the mean time.

In the long-term. After the bugs are ironed out, I'd consider the Hybrid to just be the Waveform engine. Then allow people to opt into the Real-Time option, knowing the price they'll pay (CPU).

Found a bug where I route the audio of one track to another and then arm the track for record and then hit record it doesn't record anything, but if I switch back to the old audio engine it works as intented.

using hybrid mode on a mac catalina os when i load loopcloud vst it crashes immediately. tried it 5 times, same result.

Having some vst3 plugins immediately show as dysfunctional in the beta, new engine enabled or not. Haven’t had time to find out all of them - I’ll make a list here if I do.

One key one: Fabfilter ProQ3 vst3 doesn’t work at all. Vst2 does.

This new version does not export to midi if I use Windows 8.1 (with Windows 10 everything is ok) ... I also tried to change audio device and enable the "Pass Througth Plugin" option but it doesn't work.

Can you tell me some specific plugins that are failing, preferably some free ones I can test with.
Voxengo was mentioned, does Span work for anyone here?

• Is this consistent i.e. does scanning or adding to a track always fail or only sometimes?
• Also, is this Windows only or are people having problems with macOS as well?

Thanks for the reports on the other engine problems, I'll make a list and work my way through those.

Looks like we've identified the VST3 plugin issue now and should be fixed in the next release.

Did I hear that some people were also having the same problem with VST2 plugins though?
The issue we identified is VST3 specific.

Yes, I'm having issues with some VST2 plugins too, especifically the MSED from Voxengo, have to rescan the plugin folders and insert again in the track of a project to make it work

I just installed Loopcloud, are you talking about the plugin named just "Loopcloud" or one of the "Drum"/"Play" variations?

Where are you inserting the plugin as when I added it to a track it worked ok and I could correctly hear the output from the Loopcloud app.

Ok, I think I've fixed this now.
This one wasn't new though (it would have happened with the old engine) and I think is a bug in MDynamics that I've managed to work around.

Can I clarify in what configuration you're using the Insert plugin?
If I add it to a track and set the outputs to something I can hear them outside of Waveform.
Are you using some other combination or MIDI input/outputs?

Yes, it's looking like "Hybrid" will become the new default and the "Real-time" will be a specific option.

I think I can replicate what you're seeing though. You're talking about using a track as an input to another track and then trying to record that, not changing the destination of a track to another track and then trying to record from an external live input on that track?

I've been using the hybrid version for a few days and the only bug I've seen is the one mentioned by boomt about trying record one track onto another. I have the same result as he does. Windows 10.

I haven't had any issues with vst3 plugins.
