I am having an issue with MDrummer when trying to drag midi from the plugin into the DAW's midi track.
At the point where I drag from MDrummer, the DAW hangs.
I have reproduced the issue with Ableton Live Suite 10 and Studio One 5.
A video of the symptom in Studio One 5 is at:

Is anyone else having this issue with VST3 version (I don't have the VST 2 version installed to check there)?

Post

Just for info, no problem here in REAPER (with MDrummer VST3 or VST2).

Hmmm, I'll check, perhaps this is another mac weirdness. Are you using Catalina? If not, I'd recommend to update, Apple is technically forcing all devs to sort of force the users to update, otherwise lots of weird behaviour have been forced with various DAWs on various macOS versions.

Is there also another way to get the midi information from the plugin into a daw? For example from the rhythm editor window via drag and drop?

RHYTHM EDITOR> LOOP EDITOR> Functions> Export MIDI (to say desktop), then drag or insert into DAW. But that exports one loop at a time (what you see in the Loop Editor) ...pretty tedious.
Going back to the MIDI drag/drop in SONG tab, have you tried dragging to desktop then dragging or inserting to DAW?

Thanks for reply.
I like programming my drums inside the daw by midi commands triggering loops of mdrummer, but I don’t like the grid editor inside the rhythm editor of mdrummer that much. Is it possible to zoom into the grid inside mdrummer?
Goldglob I don’t like to work with the song tab, no other faster way of drag and drop possible?

Post

The only other way I can think of to get the MIDI into DAW would be to record the MIDI output of MD in real time.
Re zooming the grid, you can zoom horizontally (the slider to the right of the scroll bar) but not vertically.

Okay, I’m still try finding my way with this plugin, but as always with melda a steeper learning curve, but at the end I hope I’ll be happy.
Will try the zooming.

Thanks Svama GREAT tip! I'm using Fl studio 20.9.2 and the latest Mdrummer 15.02 and I was going mad why MIDI arrow drag and drop wasn't working within FL Studio it was crossed out.
Dragging the Midi to the desktop then back into FL Studio fixed it for me.
No such issues with Reaper.
Nether Imageline or Melda still haven't fixed this after 2 years.
