Piano Roll new note length behaviour suggestion

Hi,
The behaviour of the Piano Roll is that resizing a note does not change the new note length, it is only by clicking on a note does it change the new note length. I would prefer it if the new note length is updated on any note length change.
If Tracktion were open to implementing it like this they should make this function toggable between the old and new behaviour in the settings, and have the old behaviour as default.

Strangely enough before reading this post I had this exact thought this morn when working on an edit so it's +1 from me also.

Another one semi related to this is it's sometime strange how the grid snap in piano roll is related to the zoom level, it should be able to be set from a drop down or even related to the current new note length. This is really apparent when working with triplets in the piano roll as I have to really zoom in after placing a note to get it to place correctly.

Thought of another one piano roll related. There needs to be better support for named notes from VSTs as it doesn't show named notes from VSTs but it does do with Drum Sampler. For example in the Nerve drum machine the pad names do not show against the notes but it works correctly when loaded in another DAW.

I've been meaning to figure out how that works? What host does it work in?

I does it with Xfer Records Nerve which is VST2 on windows. You should be able to get a demo version to test with. Not tried with a VST3 plugin that that has the capability of doing this.VST2, VST3 or AU?

Based on this discussion, it appears that the whole note names feature is actually part of the VST specification which many plugin developers (and apparently some DAW developers) neglect to implement:

Looks like the function is called getMidiKeyName, if that's not already common knowledge. I wonder if any free vsts have it implemented for easy testing.
Surely there must be consensus by now...
