Hi all,
I am new here, no professional, but creating music for my band and myself.
I created a backing track in one edit and there was a one of the tracks I needed to copy to another track. When I did it, T7 crashed and I cannot open an edit anymore. Deactivating plugins did not help, I figure out that I can delete some options files, but no luck. Could anyone help me please?
Thank you
Jiri

Maybe you should think about using Waveform version 11 free. t7 is known to have a lot of bugs . https://www.tracktion.com/products/waveform-free

Hello,
thank you for reply. But I rather would like to know how can I restore this project, after that I can focus on new DAW.
Thank you

Ah yeah perfectly understandable. I'll investigate this further for you later, but off memory I believe you can edit the file with a text editor and remove the plugin entries then add them back in one by one. Make sure to do this on s copy of the project.

Or should I say try and remove the copied track that caused the issue

milkoatkvr is correct. if you know how XML or HTML works, the .tracktionedit file can be rescued, though not always pefectly, be editing it in a text editor.
I suggest you always start by taking an backup copy in case you need to start again.
On odd occasions, such files have become corrupted and parts have gone missing. Start by checking whether the closing tabs at the end of the file are intact. If they are, then you can try removing the copied track and testing whether the project opens.
If there are closing tabs missing, you will almost certainly have lost data. In this case all you can really do it add closing tabs for everything and then try to open the project and see if you've make the .tracktionedit file usable and find out what data has been lost.

If the OP or anyone else here is willing to send me the broken project through pm I will try and take a look at it. Yesterday I had an unrecoverable project crash and was able to get it back by editing the .tracktionedit file and removing easySSP best plugin. The project opened after that, I was then able to bypass plugin sandboxing for easySSP and get the project back to its last state.
