A word about the strange Luxury discount numbers. People are seeing $69 or $49 or $44 because the store system looks at what you already own and tries to apply the maximum discount. If you own any component bundle in the Luxury Filter lineup it will credit you for it. The Mood Filter Bundle costs $5 more than the others so that's why you see $44 after you purchase the Luxury Bundle. The store interprets what you would pay based on what you own. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism to apply a multiple discount if you purchase more than one component. I know Cherry is working to update the discount system to make it more intelligent and offer the proper discount based on whatever combination of modules you own. I'm looking forward to offering this capability to the Lab Bundle as well. People who have dabbled with 1 or more Lab modules should be entitled to a discount when purchasing the whole thing.

this will be great. it will allow people, to buy some modules, when they haven't the money for a full bundle, or discover that they want more.

aha that's why you see $44... well glad that cherry audio is working on a discount system. weevil (to call him that way), was also trying to figure out what is right pricing, when you have one or modules, or bundles, from his one year bundle. it will be easier for developers, and for costumers, you can buy a smaller bundle, or a module, and you know that money will not be lost, when you upgrade to the whole bundle.

fair to all, i think. thanks for explaining it!

EDIT: great that some developers are also active to make the voltage modular ecosystem better. not only with making modules, but ask things.. and are responsive.
cherry audio themselves are also very responsive. never expected to have the module count that i have now, and the sounds i make with it....

Just want to reiterate how much I absolutely love Voltage Modular...

If the PSP Pack goes on sale for a good price, it would be almost criminal to pass it up. It opens up so many opportunities, and has so many good presets.
A well-behaved signature.

Definitely. My main way of working with modular right now is VCV Rack as a host and using a load of its modules to pump out random/quantised CV then using its plugin hosting to host VM instances as little black boxes of goodness. And now I've started using Ableton Live via the VCV Bridge it really opens up the options for multiple audio out and in; you can use Ableton Live to pump a square wave pulse into VCV Rack to use as a clock to keep it all synced.

It falls over occasionally, but that all adds to the ephemeral nature of modular fun.

This is interesting. Is there a way to send the random/quantised CV out as CV to VM as a plugin within VCV rack? Or, do you send the CV out of VCV Rack to VM as midi?

I’ve been sending it as MIDI because trying to send poly CV would be a bit of a nightmare although I imagine you could send mono CV as audio and convert the amplitude to CV in VM though I haven’t tried it.

and check out the mod delay of insomniac... to create your own delays, reverbs, etc. all things that use delay lines (and that are a lot)

for building your own phaser (or was it flanger, no phaser...), the all pass filter of cherry audio, included in core.
Great to hear you are enjoying the modules! :phones: Yeah, flangers are usually implemented with "traditional" modulated delay lines like Mod Delay, and phasers use allpass filters, like the Cherry Audio one. But since we are in a virtual modular world, it's easy to combine as many of them as you wish and see what you end up with. It's literally an endless world of experimental fun... I have already spent a long time there, and still feel I have only scratched the surface! :D

I see that the Drift Pack is available for $15, normally $80 if purchased individually. Does anyone know whether the $15 is a sale price, or the regular bundle price? If a sale, any idea when it is over?

The drift bundle has been that price since launch a few months back. No end date as far as I know.

That is indeed the regular bundle price. Which I think is a pretty good value, especially since I have added new modules in the bundle a few times after the release, without touching the price! :D

yes, strangely i had the idea to experiment with mod delay, and all pass, and other stuff, i have no real expertise how a chorus works or reverb, i read about, then i don't remember after a few days, still i learn from it.
but why make an effect that does already exists? so i thought of combining, parallel, serial, what i like, to learn and have pleasure and in the end have perhaps some strange effects. the mod delay will be certainly a part of it. and yes, the coming years, i have enough to experiment with...
