Why are multiple accounts tolerated?

This is the only forum I've ever known where users with multiple accounts aren't banned for it. Having more than one account and pretending you don't is dishonest and frankly quite weird. I usually assume the people doing it are candidates for some sort of medical intervention.

Mushy and adrenokrΩm (or something like that, it has an Ω in it at any rate) - and he announced it. I think the OP's issue is when the alts start replying to each other or indulging in pile-ons, which moves it into sockpuppet trolling territory.

Mod edit: so why are there 4 accounts listed on your page under your ip and only one each under Calenberger ans martinjuenke? This is a great example because we do get overlaps because of those using a proxy, mobile phone carriers, I guess even hotspots, would you like us to quickly jump to conclusions or get it right? Because you would be gone at this moment if we weren't giving you the benefit of the doubt.
