Personally, I would consider the SampleTank 4 D6 an introduction into the expanded Clavitube library.
Hey Ryan, I've got ST4 MAX, and I cannot locate anything resembling a name or description for D6.
What instrument name does that go by in the current sound library?
Hey zzz00m! I was referring to the clav instruments in SampleTank 4 MAX. If you set your filter to the SampleTank 4 MAX tile and search "Clav" these should for the most part all pop up.

Anyone who does not own SampleTank 4, but is interested in what's included can find an instrument list here.

OK, thanks! I found a bunch of various "Clav" instruments in the ST4 MAX library. The '"Wide Clavinet" is very nice! As are many of the "Clavinet Brt Jazz" selections.

Ryan_IK wrote: Mon Aug 17, 2020 2:46 pm For anyone interested, Clavitube contains samples of two different keyboards, a Hohner D6 and a Hohner E7.

Now, while the D6 is the same model instrument that appears in the SampleTank 4 MAX library, it is just one pickup setting instead of 7. Additionally, to provide the complete set with maximum depth, we used a massive number of samples (242 versus the 40 used in the SampleTank 4 MAX version) as well as made sure to capture each of the pick-up settings.

In short, we had this in mind during the creation of Clavitube. We even through a couple mentions up on the product page. Essentially, we would hate as musicians to charge twice for the same sounds. Purchasing Clavitube would just expand on the owned sounds from SampleTank 4 MAX, giving you the largest sonic palette possible.

Personally, I would consider the SampleTank 4 D6 an introduction into the expanded Clavitube library.
well, I'd get it, but I missed the Fathers of Funk 75% off deal that happened in June, and I'm a tad pissed about it.

hope to see another Clavitube sale around Black Friday.

There's always the VI group buy! :) It is included. Right now it's buy one get two VIs free, but the next tier is pretty close for three free. It's not exactly 75% off, but when you calculate the deal it's pretty sweet. Especially since you could buy now and say we hit a tier in a couple days, you'll receive the new tiers bonuses.

Thanks, not this year. Times changed. Lockdown went Steven Seagal on my wallet.

Their Clav library also comes under the "Chromatic" Category. I just happened to find this myself the other day. So you can select that and type in "clav", "d6" or "e7" if you want to filter it down some more.

Yes to "clav" here under Chromatic, about 55 variations of that. But no "d6" or "e7" here in ST4 MAX. Filter comes up blank for those.

The D6 and E7 instruments are in Clavitube. The one in Max is a D6 but not named that way.

Odd, I’m pretty sure they came up for me, I checked before posting. I’ll check again, though, as I might have made a mistake somewhere.

@Peter, what do i get for getting one of the iKeys? It seems that their price is such that it only avails me of a couple of SE versions and pretty much nothing else, which makes them not really a good deal during this group buy.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Guys,

I'd like to free up disk space and delete instruments I don't use. I know I can delete the .pak files (Synths folders for example), but that will not automatically clean up the Instrument Browser. What is the best way to delete instruments so they won't show in the Instrument Browser anymore?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Post

If I were doing it, I would delete the equivalent .st4i files in the Instruments sub-folders. But - make a back-up first.

Then rebuild the cache database (by reselecting the sounds library in the Prefence settings, I think)

Yes, it was as easy as deleting the Instruments .st4i files and then a rescan. :tu:

Does anyone here have the Wurly Model 120 SampleTank instrument btw? Why does the F3 key sound so different from the rest? Maybe only on full velocity as my MIDI keyboard was set to fixed velocity when I installed and quickly tested it. I'll test other velocities later. But if I could I'd rather copy E3 or F#3 and transpose +1 or -1 to replace the original F3. You know, I might just resample it and load it into SampleTron 2 instead.
