Would you like to review my newest songs? Got rid of the other one I did and put stuff in FL Studio instead.
My new CD will be an acquired taste for a lot of people as it's going to be quite esoteric. Feel free to skip these until I start my next project because this one only gets stranger from here.

2nd track from my upcoming CD "Celestial Navigation"

** DISCLAIMER ** Only for those who like strange music

There's something haunting about this one. I think I like it a lot more than the first track. Hopefully, this is a sign that the songs are getting better.

There's A Star Up There For You

There's a star up there for you
It has your name all over it
It shines as bright as you
Its yours and yours alone

There's a star up there for you
I'd like you to have it from me
Remember me wherever you go
That star will follow and so will I

Well, it looks like I'm not going to be doing anymore music for a while. My Cubase 7 side panel is no longer functional. I click on inserts and it doesn't open. Worked fine yesterday and there have been no Windows 10 updates so I have no idea why it's suddenly stopped functioning.

If anybody has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. At this point, I'll try anything.

does it appear in an old project?

3rd track from my upcoming CD "Celestial Navigation"

Well, I am really loving this project. So many wrong notes in this song.

You've been warned. This is NOT for everyone. Hell, it may not be for anyone. But this project has so liberated me artistically. I've taken my newly acquired skills and mangled them into an unrecognizable mess. But it's all carefully planned and constructed. It only sounds like I sat on the keyboard while flipping through presets. The first 3 minutes will either drive you mad or put you into a trance.

You've been warned.

The Clocks Of Cancer

The chimes
The chimes
They drive me crazy
Make them stop
Make them stop
Before it goes hazy

The clocks of cancer
Not for everyone
The clocks of cancer
The symphony has begun

4th track from my upcoming CD "Celestial Navigation"

Half way done with this project. What's scary is this stuff is starting to sound normal to me. LOL.

Mercury Rising

Mercury is rising
Mercury is rising
And I'm finished hiding
Through my life been sliding

Gonna burn like fire
Gonna burn like fire
Mercury take me higher
I will never tire

Mercury rising
Mercury rising
Mercury rising
Mercury rising

These last few are really good Wags - totally different, and great use of the sounds and effects. I always tend to like the stuff you do which is a bit more 'off piste' than the standard pop-rock; for me you tend to come up with a lot more interesting ideas and progressions with this kind of thing - not as easy listening, but more satisfying overall, I think!

That's simply because there's more room to work with. Pop/Rock, at least if you want to sound "commercial" has its limitations. With stuff like this, anything goes. It's almost an unlimited landscape. Of course then the challenge is to make it interesting and not just like a bunch of notes thrown together. That's hard. Very hard.

Thanks for the listen and the feedback. I didn't think anybody was out there. LOL.

Hi Wags. Just listened to There's A Star Up There For You. I like this style of music better than your more commercial music. Nicely weird! The harmony 'you's are a cool touch. The strings ending is a nice dramatic touch.
Well done!
