Hi,

Search shows this hasn't been treated before: is there such a way to use the quantizer function (as in FL studio piano roll) on Logic Pro?

Cheers,

Hi. Logic Pro user here. But not familiar with FL. What does the quantizer function in FL?

Hi, I am also a Logic Pro user with no experience of FL studio. I have heard that the quantizer function allows the user to quantize notes in function of a certain preset.

For example, one can quantize hi-hats, not to match mathematical precision, but to match a feel associated with certain genres. (kind of a preset of intended imprecisions?)

You can also build a library of preset GTs from your own MIDI regions for later re-usage or extract grooves from audio loops yourself anytime.

Critical in this scenario is that the triggered samples or synthesized drum/percussion sounds are similar in general and have a similar attack phase (transients) which align with the source.

So I normally bounce in place my software instrument sound each separately to know if I have to delay (negative or positive) for a certain amount.

See: Logic > Region Parameters > Delay

Amazing... Thank you. :-)
