I'm sure what he really wrote was:

hey jens, what skin(s) are you using?jens wrote:jtxx000 wrote:yes, but how hard will it be to drive? I have eXT and jorgen is a mad man, but I find Tracktion a lot easier to use, and use eXT with it for the modularness, sampler, midi parts, arp, ect...jens wrote:

I think the difficulties you have are just starter's problems - once you get it it's partially much simpler to handle than Tracktion
When I click on the right icon on my quickstart-panel
eXT opens like this:
I have folders with sub-track for my typical project - a few guitar-tracks, a few vocal-tracks etc.(named rythm-guitar, lead guitar, lead vox, background vox, etc.) - the correct audio-inputs for the different tracks are already selected/configured. So I just have to select the right track, arm it with one click
and can start recording right away.
Al the folders and sub-tracks are minimized so they aren't getting in my way - when I want to use a certain track I open its folder and expand this track.
Here I have inserted a drum-sample (I changed the skin just for fun)
Once you configured eXT to your liking it's really easy to use and everything is so clean, while Tracktion usually ends up in a complete mess rather quickly.
Of course there are still some basic things which aren't perfect and are disturbing the workflow, but the little 'inefficiencies' will surely soon be gone.
and it's price is still only the half of T1

o.k. - here
it is, but please note that this isn't my skin - as I wrote I only changed the colours a bit
the original skin is made by dramsenik and here he posts about it:

this is my 'default-project - you can start it with a double-click and you can put a shortcut to it on your desktop and/or on your quickstart-panel.
When you open it to start working on a new track don't click save if you want to save the new track for the first time or this file gets overwritten - the first time you save a new track you have to close the sequencer and right-click on the main-background - from the menu chose 'file' -> 'save as'.
Probably you have to configure a few things for your hardware and to your likings but it might serve as a starting point. Have fun.
(how shamelessly I continue to hi-jack this thread
