Since installing the Korg Legacy stand-a-lone demo, I've lost my midi-in to Tracktion.

I have the Terratec 24/96 soundcard.

Midi is working with the demo as well as Cubase 5.1.

I have repeatedly checked the settings page to see if my Terratec is enabled as the default and it always is.

I have deselected the 24/96 as the driver and midi of choice of the Korg but I still get nothing in Tracktion.

I'm frustrated and want to play my keys in Tracktion once again, any ideas?

well, I guess I'll just have to start using Cubase more. :(

system restore? (XP only)

Are you sure you didnt turn EndToEnd off by accident? That will stop your midi in. So make sure End To End is enabeled both in the main page (by the master volume) and also in your midi input. That should let you play instruments again.

I had considered that as my last resort but since I'm working on a song I don't want to take the chance of losing anything.

Yes, I have saved the Archive to disk but it has been my experience in the past that sysem restore hasn't ever fixed a problem with Tracktion.
Only uninstalling and reinstalling which is a major pain in the arse.

Thanks for your suggestion and trying to help.

Go to your settings page and check to be sure your MIDI devices are enabled. I've had Tracktion disable them "for me" once or twice, no known reason. You can also try disabling/enabling them to try to "kick" Tracktion into using them again.

I hope this helps! :D

Thanks, I've done that already.

did you also check that 'end-to-end' is enabled as AD80 already suggested? :?

you can enable/disable it for every single input - so if you want to record e.g. guitar or vocals and want to monitor within Tracktion it's the same thing

:D Cool! Glad it worked. Tracktion turns etoe off sometimes if it gets a CPU overload etc. EndToEnd is a really good feature especially when mixing. I usually turn it off when I'm mixing so Tracktion wont suck any power when its not playing. It makes easier to move plug-ins around etc.

Anytime I've had some midi-input problems its ususally just the EtoE button. Thats how i know about it  .
