yes, works well in logic 10.5.1 (mojave)
also resizing now with the new version as expected

but still not in hostingAU

there i get a strange, oversized, cropped view from the upper left window part
screenshot here:

As its free I can test it, great. If you know more free/demo AU hosts that would be nice.

in earlier times there used to be apple's own "AU Lab" AU-host
for testing purposes

Thanks a lot for reporting this, I cannot start hostingAU on Catalina, but have been able to repro & fix the same issue in Ableton Live 10 trial, hope this fixes it for hostingAU, too.

No new upload yet, going to find & test some more AU hosts first.

no idea if/how&why hostingAU won't run under catalina

afaik urs heckman (aka u-he) is quite a big fan of hostingAU - because of i
ts easy&fast testing capabilities

maybe worth contacting him/his team in regards if&how hostingAU can maybe be run under catalina?

I updated the AU package to fix the resizing issue in Ableton & hopefully hostingAU

Please delete the existing component before copying the new one, do not overwrite the existing component

I had issues when just overwriting instead of deleting/adding

i had a strange instant crash while playing around with the "search" function
but unfortunately did not save the crashlog and could not repeat it...

keep testing...

AU, logic, mojave version:

resized window size will not be remembered (logic only)

example:

insert K1 in logic's instrument slot
open K1
it will open in (qute a huge) 1410x768px size
resize it to something smaller
close the K1 window
reopen the k1 window
it opens again in the huge 1410x768px size and not the last resized (smaller) size

seems to be logic only
in hostingAU the size will be rembered correctly

Just confirming what muki stated about sizing.
It remembers the size in Hosting AU, but forgets window size in Logic, GarageBand, and Apple's AU Lab app here in Mojave.

I remember Nils said he had GarageBand, so hopefully he can duplicate it there.

Really, a pretty small nitpick... otherwise, great job !
