I don't know! Maybe I should give it a go as I still like playing modern games from time to time, so why not music!

Volume on master defaults to like -84db/off. Default midi channel is "all". Did you get that far?K82 wrote: Fri Jul 24, 2020 11:25 pm I can not get my mpk mini mk2 working with mpc beats. Does anyone know how to solve this ?

I got it working now but it is a disappointment this far , this mpc software .
How it all works and how cluttered the gui is.
I expected far more from this, and I owned 3 different real mpc's in the past.

Hi all, quick one - catalina doesn't seem to like the producer kits file. does not using this make the whole thing redundant or is there content to use without this? Alternatively - how can I get it actually working if Akai don't want to udpate the installer?

apologies for the pretty basic question but I am kind of novice here.
I just downloaded MPC Beats on my Mac. Played with it a bit, nice, but...
I just don't understand how can I load drum-kits to a new empty project.
I mean, all demos and templates have some specific drumkits already loaded, but how can I load another one.
I just can't find a way to do that in the UI.
I am sure it should be trivial.
When I open the Media Browser and i click the Program Icon the list is empty, If I click the Project icon I can instead see the list of demo projects (i.e. Basic Template, Classic House Demo, etc.)
Can someone help me please

I've not ran MPC Beats without any expansions installed, so I'm not sure what (if any) kits are included.
Did you download and install the MPC Beats Producer Kits? It is a separate download from the MPC Beats software.

yeah thanks, I'd already watched all the not-advanced videos but I didn't find that topic addressedantic604 wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 11:53 pmhttps://www.akaipro.com/mpc-beats-academy (https://www.akaipro.com/mpc-beats-academy)

oops, it turns out that it was entirely my fault! I'd only downloaded the application (that indeed includes drumkits but they are part of demo projects and cannot be accessed individually).
Now that I have downloaded the F9 Instruments and the Producer Kit packs everything works as expected. Apologies for bothering you, but perhaps someone else will avoid my mistake
