I don't have retro color, but I do have Addictive Drums, AD2, and Addictive Keys for many years and have never had this problem. I'm running Windows 10, if that matters.Harry_HH wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 5:48 pm Don´t buy XLN Audio Products - these are a pure nightmare.
I´ve got the RC-20 Retro Color, the plugin itself is OK, I´d say mediocre,
the installation, and especially keeping your plugin authorized is from hell.
About 6 times a year I the plugi stops working, and claims, that computer is not registered.
(The note may tell you, that you should run the computer in the compability mode, as well, but
changing this parameter doesn´t really help).
If you have desktop and laptop, this means 12 re-authorization process yearly.
You have to first un-authorize your already authorized computer, the launch a separate XLN Audio
installer, and re-authorize you computer.
This doesn´t take very long time, but each time you try to use your plugin, you never know, if
it will run or if it will demand a re-authorization of your DAW, irritates the use, at least me.
And wasting your time with this, while you had 100 other things to do, has made me hating the XLN Audio
plugins. I have written to of this to their help desk, without any real help.

I'm assuming you're on Windows, and there has to be a way to de authorize and remove all traces of a plug in. In OS X if this was happening and there were multiple reports of people not having this issue, I would do a deep uninstall, erase every trace of the plug in, because it's not making any sense beyond some corrupt preference setting somewhere.yehboy1 wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 6:21 pm I have owned AD2 (several times) and never was asked to re-authorize during the time periods that I owned them. Only did the initial authorizations. Strange.

I think I only had that issue once with AD2 (same error message), when multiple plugins and the DAW itself were failing---iirc there was also a RAM warning. The problems went away after closing unnecessary processes, deleting a large number of unnecessary plugin instances from the project, restarting my computer, and waiting a few hours.dzilizzi wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 6:14 pmI don't have retro color, but I do have Addictive Drums, AD2, and Addictive Keys for many years and have never had this problem. I really like their plugins. Very creative. Can’t remember if I purchased them direct or via reseller but I think it was in sales. Never needed support. Sleeper plugins for sure.sqigls wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 9:48 am anyone bought Inear Display plugins before? What is their support like?

Does the Soundtoys Effect Rack use ilok (either dongle and/or software)?
I seem to recall that they made some changes or made additional options at some point, but I can't recall the story there.

IMO not for the plugin itself which is a massive CPU hog, but it comes with over 6500 one shot drum samples that are very good so worth it for that alone easily.

The accompanying patterns and layerings are nice too, and it has midi drag and drop.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 8:09 pmIMO not for the plugin itself which is a massive CPU hog, but it comes with over 6500 one shot drum samples that are very good so worth it for that alone easily.

Someone mentioned getting Addictive Drummer adpaks for free. Would it be a good idea to wait to make more of my AD2 Custom picks to see what they might give out for free in the meantime? Or is that rare/some special circumstance that person had?

Someone on KVR was selling their XLN account, they said they didn't want to sell individual ADpaks because a lot of them were freebies and NFR iirc. Or maybe they meant they were "free" with the Custom bundle?... IDK.Insanelysane wrote: Thu Sep 17, 2020 9:07 pmI havent heard of a free adpak? Havent seen them hand out a freebie ever really.
