MFilter doesn't exist in MXXX

The 'filter' module in MXXX is a non-graphic, general purpose filter rather than MFilter as you would expect. I understand that this is a basic filter that can replicate a lot of the MFilter functionality, but I have some presets in MFilter that I want to use in MXXX and they're a pain in the butt to replicate.

Perhaps the existing 'filter' module should be renamed to 'basic filter' or something similar and MFilter should be added, as this is the only module that isn't consistent with the standalone effects.

I should add, that copy/pasting from MFilter into MXXX sort of works, as it creates an 'EQ' and pastes settings into that, HOWEVER the EQ doesn't have the 'parallel mode' of MFilter so it isn't fully compatible, and in my use-case totally doesn't work as I'm using parallel band-pass filters, which results in silence if an EQ module is used.

Yeah, I can come up with a way to make this work in MXXX, but it just seems inconsistent to not have MFilter appear in MXXX, as all other effects are treated in this way.

I just tried something wild:

I copied an MFilter preset (using "Copy to clipboard" and pasted it into an MXXX/Filter module. That module was deleted and replaced by an EQ module with the same settings as in MFilter.

I then copied the Modulator from MFilter into a spare Modulator in MXXX

Both worked!

For parallel operation could you set the Crossover Mode to "Disable".

But, yes, we should have an MFilter equivalent in MXXX too.

Yep, like i said in the second post, it is not impossible to replicate it in MXXX (I just did it by setting up three EQ's in parallel in a modular node) but it seems inconsistent to not have MFilter treated like all the other melda effects in MXXX. I can imagine it's somewhat confusing to people that dont know, and also potentially problematic for people with MXXX Core who own MFilter.

MFilter is just MEqualizer with modulators, while in MXXX it is an entirely specific module. So the copy & paste import won't work. It doesn't work 100% anyways.

I would also love to use MFilter in MXXX. Especially the presets on the left side are interesting, I don't know how to get them in MXXX.

The MFilter individual plug-in is almost = MXXX/Equalizer.

Here I have loaded a Device in MFilter, copied it to an A..H slot in MXXX, then made a couple of changes to the Easy screen:

I guess you could Save each MFilter Device as a Global Preset, Export those, Import them into a folder in MXXX, then Export each one as an MXXX Device.
