Hello, I am new to Melda products. They sound fantastic but I need to know if I can change these presets using a footswitch for live purposes. Particularly with MXXX.
Thank you,

Thank you,

Yes, you should be able to.
At the bottom of the Tool bar (on the right-hand side), click the [MIDI] button and select "Preset Switch":

Click the [?] buttons for pop-up Information windows.

The third method is probably the most appropriate for you.Preset previous/next trigger panel lets you select a MIDI controller, which will switch presets. It provides the same action as clicking the arrows next to the main preset button. When the controller value gets below 33%, the previous preset is loaded. When the controller value gets above 66%, the next preset is loaded.
Simulate program change via controller panel lets you select a MIDI controller, that will work as program change, for convenience. You can use it then to switch between A-H presets or presets via the panel below.
Program change in presets panel enables the MIDI program change processing. If disabled, the plugin follows Program Change messages by changing the A-H presets. The obvious disadvantage is that this way there are just 8 presets.
By enabling this feature the plugin stops selecting A-H presets and rather loads different presets from the specified preset folder, including all sub-folders. The default folder is called "Programs". To use it, you simply need to create a preset folder called Programs and put the presets into it. Note that the order matters of course. And you can change the folder name at any time, so you can have several sets of selectable presets.

You can only cycle through presets. As far as I know, you can't send specific program changes - sorry, my MIDI isn't the best - to select specific patches; though that would be great.

Thank you for posting your answers. I find remote patch change with Melda products problematic. Even though one can use the midi preferences to enable midi Program Change and even use CC’s to change patches. Al lot of these devices seem to have several layers to them. So, while you can access patch change with the top layer, you can not with the inside layer. I am talking about the multi effect unit particularly. But several others too. I hope that I am explaining this right. Also, I tried using notes for program change and for some reason that worked much better than cc. With my pedal instead of patches ascending or decrementimg it seems to work as an A and B between two presets. Usually the default and whatever is the first preset. I love the sounds of these devices. But I have clicking through to listen to them. I even I've a touch screen but I still don't wanna have to use that to scroll through presets. I guess I need to figure out a dedicated midi note controller for this. In the grand scheme of things. These are small problems. I am thankful for so much these days.

I'm afraid since the preset system is hierarchical and there's unlimited number of them, classic MIDI is not going to work. There could potentially be a feature added, that would select the next preset as the "right arrow", but to be honest, it's already cluttered with features and this one would likely be just for you
. You can already browse between presets using program changes, but only within a single folder.
