How to make an 808 (sound) cut itself,(e.g. notes don't overlap each other). OR how to use drum sampler with midi

I know in the drum sampler it is possible, with Note repeat, but how do I do it if I want to use midi.

Just create a midi clip on the track that has your plugin or sample player of choice. You can either drag in the red rectangle and choose from the context menu which type of clip you want to create. You can also use the shortcut key G when you have clicked on a track 1st. It's also possible to use timestretch on samples in the timeline and shorten them to make sure they don't overlap
