intriguing issue (I have the Audio recordings of my project, but it appears that they are not in the project)

I may have saved as, where can I find the project that contains such recordings.

I'm not 100% sure that I understand your problem, but this process might help:
Open an edit, select an audio clip. Make sure the bottom menu area thing is open so as to be actually useful* and click the blue "view source info" button. Once the audio file information is showing in this area, click the blue "..." button to be able to open the folder that contains the audio file.
That will show you the location of any audio clip in your edits. If you were wanting to know about somethin else, please re-write your question to be more clear.
* Please please please TSC developers make this useful thing in useful mode by default again. Useless mode is mostly useless.
