I forgot one that gets overlooked a lot that in my opinion totally stacks up to absolutely anything else out there - Poy-Ana. It's like a best of everything vintage analog synth. And still today, the sound is one of the best.
ME80 is totally underrated as well.

Great way to say absolutely nothing. My ears work just like everyone else's, I can hear all the same things you can and if someone was to say they prefer the sound of a Juno, then there is no argument, but when they try to suggest it actually sounds good, that's an entirely different matter.Scotty wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2020 1:38 pmGetting mad at a frog because it isn't a tree doesn't make it a turd. Your critique doesn't consider how one relates to the instrument beyond your own use case scenarios. There is more than one way to approach this art form or value its tools.
Release uses the decay setting. Works a treat. I don't miss yet another knob to set at all.e-crooner wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2020 3:38 pmWhat I don't like about Oberhausen judging from the GUI image is that it has those basic envelopes without Release stage. At the same time there is so much free space in the envelope section, just move the plugin's name somewhere else.

Because i have an axe to grindchk071 wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:30 am I bought it cheaper as well. But, it's definitely worth $99, when you compare it to other plugins. The Legend costs $99, so, why wouldn't this be worth $99?
Oh, I forgot. Basically, it's worth what it's worth for you.How nice is it that you have so many different dynamic prices that YOU can decide when it's worth it for you?
Anyway, Ploki is the super PA KVR hater no.1, so, I don't wonder about any of his comments here anymore. The question for me is just what's so damn important that he feels like commenting on software he's not even interested in. Ah well, I know the answer to that one as well.
Anyway, this just came out:

If this is worth 99$, oberhausen isnt
imo it’s better than legend, and legend is better than diva (at being a minimoog).
The filter resonance and feedback are gorgeous.
+ some extra perks like Modular modules and loadable as FX to use the filter, and amp room modules

What is your mission? Convincing people by posting random sound examples from youtube? I dont get itGRUMP wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2020 8:55 pm That´s funny. 70s/80s sounds good to me - but Diva doesn´t. It´s difficult to describe. Something about the Consistency. The "Color". The Frequency Balance. The 3D Position. You should maybe watch some Demos for Soundpacks (Luftfrum maybe), they´re mostly quiet "Post modern".
The 80s wouldn´t have been the 80s if they would´ve had the Diva - and Diva is definitely too clean. Diva. Duck Face in Pink Pantys. Our Gals were simply cute
(1:35 is nice)
Luftrum is a well known sound designer, but there are sound designers that are ... lets say ... more interesting
If you like 80's sounds, then check this random sound example from youtube

They say it improves 3D and frequency balance

IIRC, Urs said once that they deliberately made Diva more bright than the synths they modelled. It's also a lot cleaner than Monark, for example (a lot less saturation in the filter or signal path).GRUMP wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2020 8:55 pm That´s funny. 70s/80s sounds good to me - but Diva doesn´t. Is the Softube Minimoog really better than The Legend? If you compare the features one very interesting feature is missing: polyphony.Ploki wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 9:10 am Anyway, this just came out:

Is it the most accurate Minimoog emulation? Maybe, but since there are hardly any identical hardware and nobody has yet made a blind test e.g. on YouTube, it's hard to say.
Does Softube sound better than The Legend? Many people are rather reserved with their opinion about that.

When i demoed the legend it wasn’t better enough to me compared to diva to buy it.
This one however is oozing with flavour

Would like to comment on that, but then the creeps who can't take criticism about their favorite toy come out, so I won't.4damind wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 9:47 am Does Softube sound better than The Legend? Many people are rather reserved with their opinion about that.

Tbh I'd pick Softube due to extra perks (Modular modules, Amp Room modules and FX mode) if i didn't have a Model D yet, but I wouldn't get it if i already had the Legend

For me polyphony doesn't matter, I will use it 99.99% for bass or lead sounds.4damind wrote: Wed Sep 30, 2020 9:47 amIs the Softube Minimoog really better than The Legend? Thus far, I think I prefer the sound of Legend whilst just playing it (still really don't quite like the factory presets in general, but with effort I can get sounds out of it I like) solo'ed.
What I like more about the Model 72 though is the layout is more akin to the original and thus easier to copy written patch presets. But more so, it seems somehow to fit better in my mixes than Legend (or Monark which i do prefer more than Legend when solo'ed, and its presets)
