steampunks attend comcon, they are a subculture. not sure of music related to it.
it is more related to the games/films dressing up.

im not a steampunk, but, if i had a spare 20k, theres a full size radio controlled steampunk r2d2 id want

Nobody expect so many fans of Alan Wilder in the same thread. Speaking of SEM sounds they are allover DM and Recoil.

Nodoby is doing analog modeling as good as Diva and RePro. Ok almost nobody: Monark, Legend is good as well. Obession is not SEM emulator, it's OB-Xa emulator -- different story.

There are countless of records made on VST like Zebra 2, Dune, Spire, Serum and they sound good but it's different area rather than good analog emulation.
