this morning in the news, among the testimonials was the lead singer of Kiss, saying evh was one of the nicest guys he ever met, and never said a bad word about anyone, especially other bands

disclaimer : I know nothing about evh, or the band, apart from that one song...
no horse in the race, dont know him so no idea...

but you rarely find anyone talking shit about someone on the news when theyve just died.
even politicians always do the
although i didnt agree with many of his policies, he was a great colleague and a friend...

i think it was similar to the oasis/blur business
different bands, just getting on with being bands.
industry/media creating buzz through rivalry, but very rarely is there any real rivalry.

just curious, when the media interviews neighbors of a mass murderer or something what do people say? I just cant believe it, he was nicest guy...but a week before the mrs was at the window yelling Abner!!!!!!! Now they're wearing goat masks with horns and dancing around the fire holding bowls of something red :hihi:

maybe, as I'm not a US glam rock fan, I just don't know enough about evh to understand what he was like (either way... never saw this thread till today)

wasn't till recently I found out van halen was not the lead singer (ie dlr)
