What would be the smartest way to install the new HZ presets?

The ZebraHZ presets are not new, the existing factory library has been improved and polished. During the update process, the installer will replace the old with the new versions.Joe Leidigkeit wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 1:10 pm What would be the smartest way to install the new HZ presets?

The Dark Zebra will still come as a normal installer for Mac, Win and some time later for Linux. It doesn't use the new soundset tool as it also contains a plug-in.Joe Leidigkeit wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 1:10 pm What would be the smartest way to install the new HZ presets?
(However, even if you don't keep Zebra2 installed, you can install Zebra2 soundsets using the new format within ZebraHZ)

Thank you Urs, will the spectacular soundset be a part of the update or will that be a seperate purchase?Urs wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:55 amThe new soundset format is just an easier way to install things via drag'n'drop. This is particularly cool for NKS stuff where files have to be copied into hidden folders.surreal wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:45 amTas can you please elaborate on this? Will existing presets that I purchase in zip format be compatible to this new system?
Our preset format has not changed, neither has preset browsing, organisation etc. - you can still just install and access the files like you used to.We're still waiting for an official announcement. The composers are afraid that their life will be upside down after this, so they're quite happy that things stay in secret until things hit the public space. Gawd, I really can't wait to reveal this... (I understand though that in the current situation, things have become extremely difficult for everyone involved)There was also a pending Hive update that Urs mentioned a while back but because of covid the update was delayed because some agreement with some nda project?
Nevertheless, we are going to move forward with Hive 2.1 soonishly, but we will simply not publish the spectacular soundset until after the secret work is released.

Similar to The Dark Zebra, we made a deal where we offer our sound design skills and feature additions in exchange for the right to sell the soundset afterwards. Only, this one will not require a special version of Hive, it will run in the official version.surreal wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 1:46 pmThank you Urs, will the spectacular soundset be a part of the update or will that be a seperate purchase?

Ok thank you very much Urs.. I just wish I could afford to buy it.. Covid19 has destroyed my income here in South Africa and I am sure to many many other kvrers and Musos there in Germany and worldwide. Much success to you guys when it does happen though!!! Thank you that the update to Hive will be free and thank you for the awesome work done on your synths that we use!! Much respect!

Thank you Urs for the well wishes, we just gotta stay positive and keep the faith and focus on positive things like making awesome music with your Synths and that is what I am gonna do! Like I heard in a sermon recently from my Pastor.. tough situations can also create new opportunities, we just gotta find them, do our part and the hand of Providence will provide!!Urs wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 4:04 pm sheesh... Zebralette has a weird Output slider that prevents the use of the save and output button.
Nevermind. This is a left over from a custom theme that is not removed when I switched back to the original one.

I’m guessing the HZ update will be packaged with Zebra 9.2 official release next week. It has really grown in the last decade.
I also send great respect to Howard Scarr for his relentlessly brilliant sound design.

I'm going to wait to update. Nothing I need in this one......wombat778 wrote: Fri Oct 09, 2020 11:51 am I ran a compare of the new DotEight script against the old one, and it looks like there are ~50 changes or so. Some/most of that may be purely internal cleanup, but I need to analyze them. But since my skin is based on ZHZ not DotEight I'll wait for that to release before getting started.
