Who knows? maybe you will get it for cheap
To be fair i haven't given much time to Sylenth's strings yet to make the comparison, but MX strings i thought "wow!".chk071 wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 8:54 pm Might well be because I had my headphones on. Might sound different on my monitors.![]()
no dongle, just the codemeter softwareLazyBaba wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2020 3:03 pm About Avenger: the full version needs some sort e-licenser in my computer? It used to need dongle (which is quite a big no for me)?

I see it different. Serum is good on edgy digital sounds, which rely on Oscillator/Wavetable FX, but shitty on sounds which rely on good filters. From this perspective Sylenth and Dune are a good complement.drdriller wrote: Mon Oct 12, 2020 5:26 pm a good complement to serum should be a fm synth.
i don't see any addition from sylenth1 except good presets... Dune is really nice but does not bring something really different except for voicing..
how can you draw the distortion serum? you mean like waveshaping curves right?drdriller wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 4:32 pm Serum is good for everything, you don't have to use the reverb or flange filter with fm from b to get the metalic tone used in dubstep.. many other possibilities are available..
Serum filters are by far superior to Sylenth one.. sylenth1 filters are really basics..
do you tweak drive and fat settings on serum filters to suit your taste ?
(i like and own sylenth1, it's a good learning synth but a very basic one, the best thing about sylenth1 are presets, not filters)
you can sound analog in Serum, use the chaos osc (random osc) to modulate fine tuning, then you can draw your own distortion shape to set saturation to your taste.
