Been using a few Kontakt guitar libraries.
Wondering if anyone had sampled or synthesized anything yet?

.sfz libraries load beautifully into the msf sampler. I've had great results using samples from old Alchemy sound sets, especially Guitar Mutations if that's an option for you. Patchpool sells some really nice ones, more acoustic than electric, though, but very usable in msf:

Chandler's many videos on physical modeling in msf are great; here's an especially good one:
Here's an instrument I made inspired by those videos that has a bunch of guitar-like sound presets:
Drop the unzipped files together into your MSoundFactoryInstruments folder

Can you explain what an sfz library is? is it possible to somehow load samples from other guitar plugins into the sampler?

It's just a very well known and plentiful sample file type that msf can easily import; check out the link (first word in my post), download some free ones and try it out:)
Here's a thread on the topic.

If you want to dive in a little bit more into it or make your own library using sfz,Underoath77 wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2020 11:16 pm Can you explain what an sfz library is? is it possible to somehow load samples from other guitar plugins into the sampler?

Can someone help me get use of the TBZ Factory instrument that David graciously shared? I dropped both unzipped files into what I believe it the correct folder but MSoundFactory isn't listing them.
It took me a while to find my MSoundFactoryInstruments folder but I eventually found it in C://ProgramData

Hi, you need to move the preset files in your MSF Instrument folder in %appdata%

Thanks Tyrs, and sorry I couldn't help re Windows. On my Mac it's here (see folder hierarchy at the bottom of the window), and its contents exactly matches what's in the msf device browser, like so (note that zipped files don't show in the browser):

You can create any number of folders in there, and move stuff around any way you want.
