Cool video... some good sound design there... psytrance is not my thing, except I like it... heherecursive one wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2020 8:46 am
After some demo sessions with Ana2 i found out that it has really nice character, is very easy to operate and indeed sounds great with minimum efforts.
It seems to be well suited to the sounds I need for my tracks. Like these, for example. Very impressive presentation (also the guy is one of the biggest names in modern psytrance so if it's good enough for him it must be good enough for me)
Serum & what else?

Hm, OK this comes pretty more close to Sylenth, than my settings. But I have to admit, that Sylenth still sounds more pleasuring to me. Difficult to explain, but Sylenth delivers more this "duckish" sound, if you know what I mean, I miss this at Serum, and I think, it's hard to get, but maybe I'm wrong. In the meanwhile, I have prepared the Mono Sequencer preset, but just the meldody. The gate lengths and velocities, I have not tuned. You have to start the DAW-sequencer, then it works as you would expect it. And it might be, that you need to press "Midi" in the reset box. Seems, that it is not everytime validly saved in the preset.drdriller wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2020 10:49 ami think i'm closer with this settingsSamDi wrote: Thu Oct 15, 2020 4:23 pmInteresting, how opinions can differ. But let me put my statement on some concrete examples. Just take the patch at startup from sylenth: Arp 303 Sawdrdriller wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 4:32 pm Serum filters are by far superior to Sylenth one.. sylenth1 filters are really basics..
Show me how to do it in Serum to sound better!
To spare you some work I can send you my attempt. How can it be improved to exceed Sylenth's sound quality?

I am curious.

yep i still miss something about the env shape on note start, i'll try to get it on next attempt.
with monoseq, the tuning part is what i didn't managed to acheive.. the step are named note i don't how to change it to transpose function, and i don't think it can go up to one octave transpose.. anyway the midi sequence works for the example.

It behaves as transpose. C is 0, C# 1, B -1 etc. For transposing an octave, you need to go to the tab "octave"? I thought I set it already correctly(?) But duration is difficult to set, it behaves somehow strange, but just noodled around yesterday some minutes together with your Serum patch.drdriller wrote: Mon Oct 19, 2020 7:13 am yep i still miss something about the env shape on note start, i'll try to get it on next attempt.
