re: updating LuSH-101 -- the main thing is that it's incredibly annoying that if you want to automate a parameter in your host, you have to open up the configuration menu and choose the parameters in there that you want to be automate-able. They seriously need to bypass this ultra-clunky system, every other synth on the market does not require this kind of extra work just to automate parameters.

Also: to see the 'value display' of a parameter (the text in the lower left side of the plugin window, displaying the numerical value of a given parameter) you have to click+move the slider, thereby changing the value, rather than just click on it. That's absurd. "What's the value of this knob? Well let me change it first to find out...."

Also, I agree, it needs CPU usage improvements....

there's more. But who cares? They aren't listening. They ignore posts in their own forum. Seriously, why do they even have a forum on their website? It's just a ghost-town where bug reports and feature requests are ignored. Serves no purpose whatsoever. D16 have no intention of doing even the most basic update to LuSH-101, that much has been clear for years. And as I pointed out before, they don't update their plugins, they just put out new paid upgrades years later.

I am excited for Spacerek, as it seems to have changeable speaker source locations, so by keeping the mic locations the same and changing the speaker locations to where in the space the sources should be located, highly realistic and natural reverbs may be possible. Looking forward to trying this!
It appears so, but no, the display is not interactive :?
I agree with the notion tho, 2C Aether has and arbitrary "position" which mixes up early reflections and works very well.
Since everything is computed, they could fairly easily implement that - maybe suggest it directly to D16 :)

Can't wait for the official release!!

Sounds like the old Spirit Canyon impulse response concept...

Their synths definitely do. Phoscyon and LuSH-101 share some similarities in the sound of filter resonance, for example.

Their plugins are, in general, bit of a mixed bag. Some are really nice (Toraverb, Redoptor, Devastor), while some are so-so really. I never was a fan of their delays, for example, and I also find the phasers (Fazortan and Godfazer) and the chorus rather mediocre.
Their modulation effects and delays are some of the best out there. Syntorus 2 is a desert island chorus effect. Sigmund is super flexible and powerful.
Orion Platinum, Muzys 2

I do like their phasers a lot, as well as Syntorus.

I normally get offered a coupon in an email from D16 due to owning the silver line, but nothing yet.

Edit: nvm I can see a 39 euro coupon in my user area when I login on their site.

Got the coupon as well. Now it's in no-brainer territory, and initial tests on acoustic guitar say... me like!

Only thing is... the "proprietary Virtual Space Reverb engine" is non-tweakable, those pre-set rooms are all you get. It kinda makes me wonder... is this really algorithmic, or are they using impulse responses? There's a lot from which to choose, and the presets cover a lot of ground, but wouldn't it enhance the plugin to lay open those parameters? The reverb model part of the GUI is just an info screen.

Anyways, it sounds very nice, the ambiance hugs the sound instead of feeling tacked-on. Hm...... ponder wonder scratch chin. We needsss usss a new reverb, yesss preciousssss?

Maybe.

I agree. Reaper's pretty good at finding everything tweakable on a plugin and it only found these...

I brought that up during beta.
It is algorithmic but it's supposedly easy to fork it up so they limited the parameters. iirc, they're on-the-fly generated IR's.

Ah, I thought so. Too bad, but the quality is definitely there. And it makes it really easy to use.

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit - is there any chance D16' plugins will ever get Linux native versions? I have most of them already, but I've moved to Linux this past weekend and I'm making a list of what to sell and I'd love your stuff to stay off of that list ;)

Seems to me Spacerek sounds good, but in a pretty limited way. As I said, I look forward to the plugin version of VCV Rack as Sound Stage is so powerful
