Never heard of NastyCS. It's not on the VOS website. Do you reckon its still competitive today?
Yes, it nails the Neve EQ curves.

Much has been said, but nobody has mentioned yet, that it is always inspiring to have an EQ or two more.

I can't speak to the actual hardware or even comparisons with different 1073 plugins... But I can say this -- when I got Scheps 73 by Waves, I didn't even know what a Neve is or was. I had no preconceived notions about this classic gear, and I have a TON of plugins. But Scheps 73 kept getting a lot of use because it had that magic combo of being easy to use while sounding great. It "just works." So I loved it without starting with a bias.

I had a similar experience with Scheps Omni Channel. What a plugin. Given my good experience with these two plugins -- and the great interviews with Andrew Scheps -- I'm inclined to "believe" in their collaboration enough that I haven't felt a need to look elsewhere.

I'm curious about how close it is to the actual hardware but since I'll never own that hardware (and certainly not enough for every channel!) then it's mostly curiosity.

That's NastyVCS not NastyCS. They're different.

Lol I taught he swallowed a letter, first time I hear about this plugin (being OSX guy most of my music life), found some link with little Googling around, it's old free plugin, so I guess it's not as big deal to share it.

doesn't work in Bitwig, crashes the internal bridge...works with jBridge tho.

Ok thanks for the link, will give it a test drive with jbridge.

That is a great plugin. As an alternative I also try boosting the output instead of the gain, you get a different color of harmonics. You can even blend the two and just reduce the input volume to accomodate.

I've got to say I'm also impressed with Arturia's and Lindell's offering. Though I still get alot of milage out of the old V-EQ3/4 & V-Comp. It has a certain aesthetic I still appreciate and its lighter on the CPU.

These artist collaborations are some of Waves best work. It's like another layer of quality put on top of what Waves was going to do on their own.

The Scheps Omni is based on several hardware units (an eclectic mix of all the stuff Scheps likes), but it's primarily designed to work well as a proudly digital strip. They ignore all the limitations of hardware, and it's not trying to sound identical either, just in the spirit, short of investing too much CPU on unnecessary modeling. That's why they don't often talk about the hardware that is being emulated, because it wasn't meant to sound exact, it was more about borrowing some tasty EQ curves, saturation models, and vintage compressor character.

The yamaha steinberg portico ( rupert neve desings ) plugins seems to be very good.

For anyone using Lindell Audio 80 Series: How do you actually use the Buss plugin? Do you drive the input at the top or trim knob or both? I think the master slider is to be left untouched at 0dB and the out knob at the top should be used for gain matching?

Of course, whatever sounds good, but this is just to get some understanding and direction.

Curious about that as well, I just picked this plugin up. Enjoying the channel mode but am not sure about the buss one.

Acustica and Nebula seem to be highly regarded. Gemini Audio's Nebula libraries gets great reviews.
You could try the older BritChannel V4 for free. The new version was mentioned by bmanic
