Zebra2/Zebralette/ZebraHZ 2.9.2 (Updated Oct 15th)

I often use SAVIHost to programm patches for Zebra² and the search function do not work anymore as expected in SAVIHost. In Live the search function works as intended. No biggie but maybe the u-he staff have an idea why the search function do not behave as intended anymore in SAVIHost?

It looks like Savihost is simply not forwarding the Enter key to the plugin when using the preset search box.
The Enter key does work when using dialog windows like the preset save dialog, but the preset search is working differently than other dialogs.
As I wrote before, many hosts have some kind of "forward all keys to the plugin" function the user could activate in such cases, but Savihost doesn't seem to have such an option.
This is nothing which broke with the latest Zebra update, it's something that never worked in Savihost. Checked that with Zebra 2.8 and Zebra 2.9, was the same back then.

Well, I just requested my licenses to get the Dark Zebra download link but it seems there's a templating bug in the mail : While my license information is displayed for other plugins, here's what was written in the Dark Zebra section (please note I own the license and that I already did successfully this operation for previous Dark Zebra updates) :

It's not a templating bug.
We are experiencing some issues with our internet service provider right now, nothing we could fix on our end (great timing for such issues, blaming Murphy's law). This leads to sporadic problems with the inclusion of download links in the licence request emails.
You can try to request your licences again. If this fails again, you can also contact our support, so we can send you a link. But please be a bit patient, as we usually do not offer support on weekends (and it was a very busy week, so we all need a bit of time to relax and recharge our batteries).

Zebra2 update can be downloaded from the Zebra page or the first post in this thread.

I'm waiting to install both until the weekend just to make sure there are no big bug reports.

Friendly advice, backup your presets just in case anything is overwritten.


@Howard Howard, what are you and HZ using the extra combs, resonators, and MSEGS for ? Might we be able to get some new patches to demonstrate please ?

Has the MSEG loop marker never been visible in the editor in Zebra2 or has it magically disappeared with the latest updates?

Must have been lost when we added the background grid graphics back in.
It's still available in the smaller view at the bottom.
And also exists in the DarkEight skin.
I'm sure it will make a comeback in the DotEight skin with the next update.

I just came here to give a big thanks for this update! Particularly the ZebraHZ update! Wow!

ZebraHZ has always been my favorite and IMO, the most impressive and inspiring synth sound design around. And this update takes it beyond when you start using the XY pads! I'm happy you all did this with Zebra2 as well.

And it's very well done and with purpose rather than arbitrary assignments that would give hit or miss results... I'm getting nothing but awesome sounds! So thank you, Howard, Urs and team!

For more comby, resonatory and MSEGy stuff of course! New presets? I'm afraid there can be no additional presets in The Dark Zebra, but the custom XY assignments do turn each preset into a "playground". Have fun!
