What if you're miscalculating this. Fact that Urs Heckmann could give hour of his time to explain something to us has a lot of customer appeal. People are actually reading this forum with enjoyment which should convert to sales.Urs wrote: Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:50 pm I feel that, after 15 years of happy uses of Scrambler, I could spend my time better than arguing about its usefulness or purposes, particularly when my mind is set somewhere else.

If Urs could just clone himself, how many duplicates would be enough?
So there would be one working on Zebra 3 solely,
and one for ignoring marketing experts, thats for sure.
I hate when people try to force answers (sometimes rudely) from someone
who is already generous enough to be in touch with customers.

Sascha's gone ?
That's a bit of a (big ) bummer , it was sascha's awesome Tube.dist. module that pulled me over the line to get zebra .

It's a necessity to stay in contact with your customers , it's a mutual benefit for both parties .MonsterPuppet wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 9:36 pm

To further clarify , I have been reporting bugs for almost every piece of software I own ( reaktor , loomer architect , etcc) , be it as a beta tester or a regular customer .gentleclockdivider wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2020 12:27 pmIt's a necessity to stay in contact with your customers , it's a mutual benefit for both parties .MonsterPuppet wrote: Sat Oct 24, 2020 9:36 pm

Do I get paid for it , hell no ..so why do it it in the first place ?
Because we all wan't our software to be as bug free as possible , having close contact with your customers makes this process a lot easier and pleasant ( something of a luxury that only small boutique companies can do instead of the horrible ticket support system ) .

In any company you´re working for (and even at university) you´re signing a contract. And with this contract you agreeing to give such rights/properties to the company/institution.gentleclockdivider wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2020 1:25 pm You mean that the code is not entangled with Sascha ?

But, there must be something that intelectual property can also be brought into the next company (that doesn´t mean the old company loses the rights) otherwise Bitwig would not exist.
I am no expert in these things, so chances are big I´m wrong...
Everyone knows more than I do...

I get thanked by developers by private email , at least I am doing something back instead of critizing .MonsterPuppet wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2020 3:23 pmWell, many times, if you give someone your finger they will take your hand andgentleclockdivider wrote: Sun Oct 25, 2020 12:27 pm It's a necessity to stay in contact with your customers , it's a mutual benefit for both parties .

What is you contribution in all of this , maybe you're the own mixing up perspectives ?
Are you part of any beta team ?

yourself and what a great contribution you are.
....thats just....demanding......... the resolution parameter etcc..that's why I expect a (professional ) explanation from Urs , boy was I wrong....
My contribution? Its there, but im not bragging about it and waving flags with hearts and thanks.
No im not mixing up my pespective (and im not playing that infantile game
further of accusing the same thing back).
Oh yes, i did some beta testing for different software, can i use that for an argument when i need
to show off that im exceptional from all those lousy users who never do something for the better?
Btw. i was never quoting about or talking to you, you just made yourself a topic...

This is a great illustration of the "resolution" setting. With resolution=1, I can get quite smooth and pleasant modulation (and I notice that the modulation speed is actually lower than the LFO rate). At 5, it stutters in interesting ways, and at 9 it gets very gnarly and chaotic.
So now I'm having fun holding down notes while sliding the resolution up and down with the mouse. What I shame I can't see resolution as a modulation target!
