I'm curious how many people use trackpad for controlling Bitwig, because - compared to some other DAWs and standard application UI - it's a bit weirdly and inconsistently implemented. But while we're at it, I thought it might be interesting to see the overall landscape?

Why? Bitwig is the *last* DAW that needs app like that... It works pretty good with touchscreens as it is, unless you want to get really in-depth with automation or audio editing, then there's nothing better than mouse/trackpad/etc. precise device.

I use the mouse a lot, but I'm also using the Launchpad X increasingly...

No, by "something else" I meant e.g. trackball, laser gun, VR headset.

The topic's and poll's question excludes computer keyboard and MIDI controllers (which incl. keyboard, pad, knob/encoder, fader, xy pad devices because they all send MIDI).

i was joking. I thought that a VR headset would be overkill for using a DAW.

My only knowledge about VR comes from the old movie called The Lawnmower Man. I was imagining a long virtual hand launching clips etc.
