You may be mistaking the current half price sale offer on Chromaphone 2 which they say includes an eventual free upgrade to version 3 whenever that gets released.

Well it’s definitely vapourware right now. It’s a little like the free Zebra 3 upgrade that Dark Zebra buyers are due.

Wasn’t 1 to 2 around $70 as well? I’m hoping for 50% off during intro. If if’s any more it’s really gotta be major improvement for me to upgrade.

A quick question to anyone out there.. especially if any Kilohearts people are reading this....

I tried getting it.. entered the code... it was free.... I tried to use Paypal as the payment... why is it trying to ask me to link to my banking info (transit number) to get the "payment info" instead of using my Paypal info? I didn't click to finalize the transaction because of this. So I don't own KHS ONE yet. Can anyone answer this please?

That's what I want to know.

But its the DEMANDING of my banking info (transit number) that troubles me instead of simply taking my Paypal info. That's the whole reason why I want to use Paypal... so I can avoid having to give out my banking or credit card infos. I really want KHS ONE... but I'm not willing to take a chance on having to give up sensitive info like that for something that is supposed to be "free". Very bizarre.

I got it free in some offer shortly after it came out. It’s bang average and overshadowed by about a hundred permanently free plugins so I really wouldn’t worry about it. I thought it would be like a cut down version of Phase Plant, but it’s more like a middle of the road simulated analog synth.

They are using a third party payment provider on top of Paypal. They would not know who the license is registered to if you would not complete the checkout process, even if it is for 0$. The way they have this implemented is rare but not completely unheard of.
