Yes, there was a summer sale. I got a custom bundle for the same price as a proper bundle - email and ask nicely - although I have some serious GAS so am waiting for what I hope is a Black Friday sale.Kimokeo wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2020 11:11 pm Hey guys.
Prob a dumb question but does the FabFilter stuff ever go on sale?
Wouldn’t mind a couple pieces but in no hurry.
Thanks

Artificial Intelligence schmelligence, LOL. We don't know where the variation in Jamstix comes from, either. To me it's just certain parameters changing randomly within certain values, depending on the style and drummer. One thing I like about MDrummer is that you can combine existing cymbal/ride/hh patterns from the library (including your own) with a snare/kick drum pattern that you create on the spot. Something I want to explore is to import midi patterns and see how easy it is to create variations within MD.Ceej wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2020 7:30 am Yeah, I've seen that one and the earlier one in the same series. I'm pretty sure all the variation there is coming from manually-created patterns, either included with MDrummer or written by Chandler. There's no "Artificial Intelligence" in there, I don't think. Which is not necessarily a bad thing! The results are pretty compelling nonetheless.
Anyways, there are no perfect solutions. I created a rock and roll track with Jamstix and was generally pleased, so it works well with certain genres... when it works. To me, the killing problem is the bugs. I haven't experienced that kind of cr*p with any other professional plugin. To bad you can't resell Jamstix, which is also an important factor for me.

Yes. I'd say a couple of times a year. The best value, IMO, is to buy a bundle second hand.Kimokeo wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2020 11:11 pm Hey guys.

So the Sonnox annual sale is on and both Oxford Inflator and Transmod are heavily reduced beyond 50% to ₤28.5 which is really great value!
What I was going to say is wait for Audio Deluxe to list them as part of the November sales as there will likely be further discount applied in cart, thats how I bought Inflator last year for $68 which at the time seemed amazing, now Im staring at it at nearly half of that price wondering if I should buy a second license

@Insanelysane and @Aiynzahev: Thanks for the heads-up on the Sonnox sale.
A few questions regarding Oxford Inflator if someone can help:
1. Can it be compared to T-RackS Classic Clipper or Black Box Analog Design HG-2?
2. Does it work in FL Studio? I could demo it, but I am away from my studio PC until night.
3. iLok USB dongle is not mandatory, right?
Thanks!

Interesting, Plugin Boutique lists the Sonnox sale as lasting from 29 Oct - December 3, 2020Insanelysane wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2020 2:28 am So the Sonnox annual sale is on and both Oxford Inflator and Transmod are heavily reduced beyond 50% to ₤28.5 which is really great value!

It took really long time from Sonnox to go down in price with their products. When I purchased the Eq 12 years ago, it was the state of the art Eq in that time, and the high price was accepted and motivated.Ou_Tis wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2020 4:25 amInteresting, Plugin Boutique lists the Sonnox sale as lasting from 29 Oct - December 3, 2020Insanelysane wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2020 2:28 am So the Sonnox annual sale is on and both Oxford Inflator and Transmod are heavily reduced beyond 50% to ₤28.5 which is really great value!

Sonnox treated in the shitty way their customers, who paid $ 200+ of their products, with the updates. They demand huge amount money of the updates. I own 3 Sonnox ”Oxford” plugins I newer updated and haven’t used since I updated DAW years ago.
Sonnox kept the higher prices untili these days, although the music software markets changed totally long time ago, and much better products, including Eqs have entered by other developers.
Sonnox lived in their own bubble. I wasted hundreds for this rotten company. But that’s life.

save your money.
Need to use dongle or cloud. And if it's no longer useful there's a huge Sonnox fee on top of the ilok fee, and if you're selling a bundle you need to pay it for each plugin in the bundle, even though you can't separate the bundle anyway.
Sonnox sucks

Im agreeing that the resale for Sonnox plugins sucks so you absolutely want to be sure you are happy with the plugin, so trial them first. But I dont agree that they suck, the Inflator for example is fantastic and Ive heard great things about the quality of their plugins from the limiter to the dynamic eq and special tools. The issue is that there is so much good stuff out there these days and a lot cheaper that its hard to justify the spend even at 50%. Thats why I like these bargains because at $40 Inflator is really worth having for what it does.sqigls wrote: Thu Oct 29, 2020 6:13 am save your money.

The voucher is one time use only (until its not, likely renew on last day 31st, am I right?) and while it excludes most of the new plugins it should work for NEOLDV76U73 and ENGL Savage 120 which I had my eye on. Demoing now..
