Hi,

I am interested in buying MUX Modular as I need a good tool to control the parameters of my VST effects.
My first question is:

- can MUX Modular really modulate ANY VST parameter of a plugin?
Or only those that are activated by the developer for being midi controllable / automatable?
This is very important as most applications are NOT able to control parameters if the developer doesn´t allow this. E.g. previous/next wavetable or choose a setting from a drop down menu (filters, wavetables etc..)

- is MUX Modular included in MULab and can I use it as an external effect plugin? I´m asking because both cost the same and the site says MUX Modular is integrated in MU Lab but can I use Modular only withing MULab if I buy MULab?
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any VST parameter that is visible to the host DAW.

Indeed a developer could choose to have more parameters on the editor than are visible by the host. MUX is a VST host and can only see the parameters that the dev publishes to the host.

When you buy MuLab you will only be able to use MUX inside MuLab. When you buy MUX Plugin you will be able to use MUX inside other host DAWs.

Hope this answers your questions.

Thanks a lot for your fast reply!

This is exactly what I thought.. unfortunately.
But well, I want to support you anyway and will buy the bundle.

One last question, what is the price for future upgrades and does MUXModular support VST3 plugins?

If you buy the M8 bundle now, you will get a free upgrade to M9.
and does MUXModular support VST3 plugins?
Not yet. But i will research it.

Thanks!
I bought the plugins and I like the MUX Modular so far.

Could you please help me, I´m trying to setup a constantly changing, random LFO to control some VST parameters.
How can I do that? I tried the LFO, Wobble generators as well as the Sample & Hold modulation but they are all static.

And how to make the modulation visible on the respective parameter (plugin GUI)?

Please do implement VST3 sooner than later Jo. Already new small developers can only write for vst3 format and its a pain to have to load a shell to use them in Mulab/MUX.

How do you mean they're all static?
The LFO and Wobble Gen are both constantly changing.
Tip: Hook up a Modulation Monitor to visualize the modulation.

On the VST editor you mean? That's technically not possible, no VST host can do that.

Speaking as a plugin developer and long time fan of Mutools, VST3 is definitely a strong priority. Especially with VST2 SDK having been deprecated and unavailable to new developers for many years now. It not longer just about new features and benefits, but also about supporting new plugins and software that won't be available in legacy formats.
