We are happy to introduce to you our newest effect plugin: Solidus Randy 250

Image

Solidus Randy 250 is an analog simulation of the Randall® RG100ES (late ‘80s) and RH150 (late ‘00s) solid state amplifiers.

The RG100ES head, produced in the late 80s, has been a remarkable amplifier that defined the sound of some of the greatest metal bands of that time, while the RH150 is a more modern rendition with much more gain. Both amplifiers are renowned for their huge low end and crushing gain.

We carefully modeled the original amplifier and added some goodies to further shape your guitar tone: a noise gate, a modern overdrive, a couple EQs (6 Band Graphic EQ + a 3 Band Parametric), a post-amp 5 band EQ and a Dual Cab Loader.

Integrated cabinets provided by Dr Bonkers Sound Lab, Eddie Scharr, Redwirez and Seacow Cabs

I've been playing these amps for two days now, and I must say I'm quite hooked. The sound is great, and I'm not a metalhead by any means. The cleans are nice, the slightly driven tones are even better, the response and the feel... this feels like a step up quality-wise from the VS8100. Having never played any of these in real life, I can't say how close they are, and, to be honest, I don't really care, because they sound soooo good.
Great job on this one! My only gripe is with the UI, I think the knobs and switches could be a bit bigger, like the swap switch or the overdrive/clean switch. I realize the proportions are probably like the originals, but in plugin land, readability and size do matter.

Thanks! About the size, you can resize the interface from our "logo menu". Click on the Audiority logo and from there you can resize the plugin interface.

I'm pretty blown away by this. Actually sounds like a real amp and the amps being modeled. Definitely tempted impulse buy on this one lol.

I hope Audiority keeps making more high gain amps in the future. Doing some of the amps that have not been done like this is not a bad strategy.

I always hoped for some more Randall amps (done well) and Audiority making this makes me happy :) The included graphic eq, noise gates, and boosts are a real nice touch and useful to use even on their own with amp vsts from other vendors.

Maybe wishful thinking but I'm hoping some day someone will model a VHT Pit bull and Rivera K-Tre. I like tight sounding amps and gosh.... Audiority does these so well. Crossing my fingers ;)

Hmm this is way too simple, can you not do a Solidus Randy CS, a Solidus Randy SE, a Solidus Randy and a Solidus Randy MAX (with different cross grading prices for each depending on whether we've purchased other Audiority amps) ?

a Solidus Randy CS, a Solidus Randy SE, a Solidus Randy and a Solidus Randy MAX
Deluxe version as well, for even more transparency.

Naaa. I never like this kind of pricing scheme. I understand when it comes for something big, like the various huge guitar suites around, but for simple products like this it's a big no to me.
