Zebra2 v2.9 - Browser glitches?

Hi all.

Just got the latest Zebra and decided to use the new browser facilities to finally tag my patch collection
Have noticed some strange behaviour - not sure if bug or I'm doing something wrong - but after tagging certain patches they won't load or play afterwards.
- In the 'no tags' folder I have patches from 'Zebra vision'. If I drag them into a tag folder they become unplayable (no sound output after selecting them).
- Also if I tag (VST) patches (.fxp files), when I then select these patches in a tag folder they appear to not load and Zebra plays the previously selected patch instead.

Any ideas?!

we do have a few ideas in fact, could you do us the favour and send that soundset 'Zebra Vision' over to us so we can test a few things? Email address is support[at]u-he.com, thanks!
Also I should point out, tagging .fxp files will most likely not work, our tags are part of our .h2p format only.

All good, found the soundset for free on our own PatchLib page.
About the soundset, keep in mind that all presets in the folder "mc Vision Waves" are not synth presets but oscillator presets and need to be loaded via the osc preset browser. They'll of course be silent when you load them via the regular browser.
Could that be it?

Hi Viktor,

Ah so the files are modified rather than just adding DB meta -- that would explain the behaviour.

The 'Zebra Vision' files I noticed this on are the ones in the 'Zebra Vision\mc ZebraCM 143\MC ZebraCM 143\' folder (h2p files). I could load and play them ok from the 'no tags' folder but not after tagging (or undoing the tag).

Hi Matfink,

thanks, we looked again at what happens when trying to tag the old ZebraCM files and indeed found a small bug there. It affects presets without any meta data, like those from 2010 (that Visions soundset) or even earlier. Curiously, it doesn't seem to negatively impact actual Zebra2 presets, only those old ZebraCM presets once you load and tag them in Z2.
