Big brother AIR Structure 2 for $19.99. A full blown sampler with 37+GB content.
I'm wondering whether i really need it. I have Komplete Ultimate. I don't want to use Ilok atm (waiting for new computer). Also i'm thinking when i get the computer, to get Triton (Korg) and M1 from Splice (i make dance).
I have Komplete too but still use Xpand2 often for quick'n'dirty composing or on my (underpowered) laptop when commuting.
It has super fast loading times combined with a decent sound quality and a small CPU and memory footprint.
Do you need it ? Most likely not but it has it's uses.

An under-rated instrument, IMHO. I use it frequently (it comes included with Pro Tools). Simple to use, good arpeggiator, good for finding sounds quickly.
+1
I bought an pretty comprehensive AIR bundle and this synth is what I use the most. You can easily find and layer up 4 sounds. It's great for when you don't want to fiddle with anything else but ADSR. I think Xpand2 and Vacuum Pro are the only AIR plugins I'd buy again. OK, maybe Strike too.

The content can be freely installed on a different drive partition, right? For Xpand! 2 we can, so hope it's the same for Structure 2 as well.

Also, what's the actual size of the content after installation?

Thanks!

Does Structure 2 include what is in Xpand2 (someone called Structure 2 the father of Xpand2)?
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

I can confirm it's possible with the Mac installer. But likely on Windows you are also able to freely decide where content gets installed. Structure 2 Factory Library weighs 40.77GB on my Samples SSD (HFS+ Journaled formatted).

AFAIK Structure 2 does not include all Xpand!2 content. 2 different instruments with different approach.

Arn't they giving away Iris 2 now? So that would be Iris 2 and Xpand2! for £4. That's honestly ridiculous. They are both excellent

Okay, thanks for the information. I was checking some videos on Structure 2 and I am not really convinced since I own Komplete 13U CE among plethora of other synths, and even Xpand!2 which I have not really used yet.

That said, it is worth to have at least one of them (Xpand!2 or Structure 2) in your arsenal for quick musical sketches. Many sounds are actually quite good for use in the final production, perhaps with some additional processing. I should consider giving Xpand!2 some attention.

Xpand2 is my composing Rompler. A Great set of sounds covering most bases that load instantly, and the ability to quickly build a new sound by layering patches is so cool. Sometimes I swap to sampletank when getting closer to mixing, but sometimes the Xpand patch just fits and makes it to the final mix.
Meh

Just heads up the Antares Auto Tune isnt nearly as 'full' as it suggests as this version offered is Access, can be had for as little as $41 (during Black Friday last year!) and in my opinion it isnt worth it, its very limited and basically with the competition from Crispy Tuner and even Waves Real Time Tune may as well buy those. I found Access version a pain rather than of use, Im now waiting for a decent upgrade price to get EFX+ or more otherwise will ditch the non-transferrable Access all together.

Edit: looks like Brainworx have acquired CrispyTuner! This is interesting as CrispyTuner was only released like 6 months ago, it says on the website that owners of CrispyTuner will get the new Brainworx version when it comes out, assuming next year..

Anyway the freebies for this USB interface aren't as good as they sound, better just to buy Black Friday full versions instead.
