Question about MSpectralDynamics LE

Hi Melda team, users.
I have a question about MSpectralDynamics LE. A noob question.
I own the plugin. To be transparent, I bought it because of D-esser and because it was on sale at that time. D-esser is obviously not the main dish of this VST, I assume "Flattening" is. I am only a hobbyist songwriter and do not spend a lot of time on mixing (as I probably should) so forgive me if it sounds a silly. In any case this is my question:
Does this "flattening" segment of the plugin works with given audio dynamically, or sort of "fixed" setting with only "amount" being adjusted? To be more specific, if one part of the tune has dynamics all over the place and another part has it more or less in control, if this plugin is slapped on a master bus, assuming it will fix the "out of control" part, but what it will do to the part that is already well balanced?

I experimented a bit with "flattening" on M.Bus, and I do like the results. But the thing is, I am not an audio engineer (and will not pretend to be one) and I do not fully trust my ears when it comes to mixes, so just want to know if "correction" level is dynamic of given audio or it is fixed. I hope that my question makes sense.

Thank you for your time!
Mike.

Hi Mike, it certainly is dynamic, hence MSpectralDynamics. In every moment it analyzes the audio content and does "something", such as flatten the spectrum, which indeed is generally a goodizer ;). However note, that if the master is badly mixed, it won't do miracles ;)

Vojtech thank you for answer,
MGoodizer next? :)

I watched a (White Sea Studio) video review on full version of this plugin... I assume with with full version user gets actual control over particular frequency being "goodized". Meaning, if the dry/wet + brutality amounts set to liking, but there is a certain frequency that is cutting too much into the mix, advanced version would allow to limit that particular frequency, but not the LE version, right? Thank you.

Correct. LE is just fine unless you want to get creative / into the details ;)

Vojtech,
Thank you! Please find couple of minutes to reply.
I am relatively new to Melda... Maybe you can guide me a little. This is my scenario. I have few excellent VSTs (EQ Compressor etc.) from another company that I use on individual tracks, but that company does not have particular plugins that I think will improve overall sound. For example, I got Melda Stereo Processor, which is a very specific plugin that I find very useful for some very particular instruments / vocals, which I find much more creative than Ozone Imager, that I used for those purposes earlier.... I am not a plugin junkie, I got most of the things that I need. I am looking for a unifying plugin to add to the master bus, to make some acoustic instruments, vocals to sound "together" better with electronic instruments... Sort of a single mastering plugin - something with single interface. I know Melda has a great many different plugins, so not very sure what would be a "better" plugin for my purpose - enhance quick bounce mix. I do like to have some amount of control as mentioned in previous post (to be able to limit/control certain frequencies). So it seems that moving to a full version of MSpectralDynamics seems like a reasonable idea, but I know you got bunch of others like MAutoDynamicEQ for example. Which plugin do you think will work better for me? My time for music is very limited, that is why I decided to ask, rather than beta test whole bunch plugins blindly.

Thank you!

I absolutely understand! I'd go with MSpectralDynamics and LE should be fine for you actually. It's like a general goodizer, which you don't need to work with much, but it has latency, so not good for live playing :)
