MSF Idea: Key Tracked Equalizer in Generator (Advanced Filter Design)

I was playing around with filters and an equalizer in the generator section, and I thought it would be cool if you could set the equalizer to a relative mode like the filters are by default.
You would have the current pitch at the center and set the bands by relative octaves, and maybe even use the per-voice modulation sources on them.
That seems to me like a really cool tool to shape the sound quickly instead of using multiple filters. What do you guys think?

I don't know if this is relevant, but AutodynamicEQ can pitch track, and you can control what it does with harmonics....

Another useful feature I didn't know we could do with MAutoDynamicEQ! And thanks as always to Chandler for his videos! (I've been using Sonnible's SurferEQ for this which is pretty great.)

Thanks for sharing the link. I couldn't get that to work, though, because the EQs in MSF don't have their own modulators and the modulators from MSF don't have the "Pitch" tab.sirmonkey wrote: Sun Nov 08, 2020 4:06 am I don't know if this is relevant, but AutodynamicEQ can pith track, and you can control what it does with harmonics....

I think I used the wrong term because I meant that the bands should be relative to the midi note, not the actual pitch of the output sound. I tried changing the title to be clearer, but I guess I don't have permission to do that.

Do you know how that handles multiple notes pressed at the same time? I couldn't find any explicit information, but I don't think that would work for chords.VariKusBrainZ wrote: Sun Nov 08, 2020 12:35 pm https://www.admiralbumblebee.com/music/ ... di-mapping
Also, it would be super tedious to set up compared to the normal pitch mode that filters have. Not very suitable for exploring different sounds.

You probably cannot detect pitch of multiple notes, but for a single note it is really simple to use - attach modulator to the frequency of a band, the whole range (20Hz to 20kHz) and set the modulator to Pitch mode, and I think that's all

Then I'd rather use multiple filters which will also work for multiple notes. The idea was to have a creative workflow and shape the frequency spectrum in an easier way than using multiple filters.MeldaProduction wrote: Wed Nov 11, 2020 4:55 pm You probably cannot detect pitch of multiple notes, but for a single note it is really simple to use - attach modulator to the frequency of a band, the whole range (20Hz to 20kHz) and set the modulator to Pitch mode, and I think that's all![]()
