I think you should mainly decide on your own according to your real needs during production. I personally would totally miss the modulators workflow wise and the style-changing options "taste"-wise. 
So if I were in your situation I would try to think about which parts / features of the upgraded bundle would really be necessary during your workflow.

Modulators and Oversampling above all, those are must-haves in my opinion.
Then, changing skins (you can change it with the unpaid version, but it won't recall them next time).
And GUI resizing, although I'm not sure if it only concerns the VST2 version, as the VST3 version already resizes even with the unpaid version.
If you use those plugins it's absolutely worth it, especially if you wait for one of the 50% off sales, probably on black friday I think.

If you are like me, the nasty message goes away after registering, which was enough for me to pay the 25 bucks for the discounted upgrade.
If you look at simple tools like EQ or compressor, these are really powerful and everything you need in many situations, so if you are ok with the Melda ecosystem, they are a steal at this price point. For me as a Reaper guy, they became my go-to standard tools.

I would like to add that the fancy Melda features have a learning curve. However you have to learn it only once as the features exist across all the plugins in a consistent way.
