Is Wavesfactory ever doing any promotion? Currently Trackspacer is 59 Euro, is it going below that?

It's almost Black Friday. Wavesfactory or Plugin Boutique had a sale last year. But I'm not sure that if you buy a plugin at PB, you can register it at Wavesfactory and be able to transfer the license. That might be something to check first.Inversion Of Control wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 8:50 am Is Wavesfactory ever doing any promotion? Currently Trackspacer is 59 Euro, is it going below that?

What sounds like tape is in the eye of the beholder. Statements like ‘it sounds like..’ is without reference, mostly, only assumptions. When we look at tape emulations we need to add tape characteristics, the means of amplification and the way a signal is added to that tape in that modeling excersize. On top of this is the umbrella of one’s hearing capabilities. Myself, I cannot hear that anymore and depending on default ‘master’ settings. Yes. I’m a developer of a multi-head tape emulation resembling ancient tape units used around 1960.

Trackspacer was down to at least 39,- on PB a couple of times. Bought it there. But I don't know about license transfer, sorry.

Some of the regulars don't like certain things to be advertised or particular vendors.Vortifex wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:09 am What's going on with the dislikes in the No Chat thread? Random posts get massively disliked. What's the reason for it?
Now watch this little chat get downvoted. I see you've already picked one up just for asking the question.

Some time ago, I sent an email asking if they would have any promotions / discounts. They informed me that on Black Friday, all their products would be 50% off. Their new reverb plugin is already in this condition. I'm looking for Trackspacer too!Inversion Of Control wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 8:50 am Is Wavesfactory ever doing any promotion? Many just don't like the style of the post. Such as the multiple colors in different fonts and sizes with double and triple spacing to get more attention than other posts: turning it into the same crap they sent us in email that eventually caused just as many of us to unsubscribe from their list. And with the nerve of not having any real deal that differs from MAP or their regular and semi-regular price fluctuations.
So maybe some are just hoping they'll get a clue and join the original spirit and intent of the No Chat Bargain thread and quick using it as just free advertising space. They're probably just breaking even between new sales and the sales lost by those that are sick of them.
(Some pages only have 2-4 posts on them from punters like these. And they summarily get ignored without so much as even a scan of what they're pushing at me anymore.) We know the repeat offenders and their MO.

I feel like the deals thread is dying. It feels like it is less active and a lot of deals are not interesting for most. There are a few people pushing their own sample sites with the same deals over and over. Also, APD have way too long posts. Like, who reads that. But well, I guess it is what is has become.

Well Rastsound in particular which releases products that I use and like keeps posting the same thing in there every few days with just a link to their generic sales page without actually describing what's even on sale. I personally wish there was a rule that if you advertise on there you have to actually link the products that are advertised like JRR, Everyplugin, Audiodeluxe, bluetechaudio and all the others' posts that do it properly.Vortifex wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 11:09 am What's going on with the dislikes in the No Chat thread? The rest of them are just lame generic instrument presets or loops for copy/paste producers.
Other forums are honestly just better with the way they're layed out and organized with a separate subforum for deals and separate threads/deal is a lot easier to go through than the clustered thread here. It is also nice being able to directly ask the developer that posted a deal a question on the deal thread, compared to here where if you discuss anything in the bargain center thread you are shunned. That's my major reason for not coming onto KVR as much as I used to before realizing about those sites that have better organization. Hopefully things change around here and maybe deals gets a seperate subforum from the classifieds and is more than just 2 overcrowded forum posts. That'd also clear up any confusion from developers posting their ads in the user classifieds as well. Another benefit is the good deals get bumped to the top so more people see them while crappy deals are left to die on page 2. Just my thoughts on the matter.Vleker wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:48 pm I feel like the deals thread is dying. It feels like it is less active and a lot of deals are not interesting for most.
