Robert Henke programmed PitchLoop89 and the Nature Inspired Instruments/Effects by Dillon Bastan. So yeah, very high quality stuff to expect here, top notch programmers/artists.tooneba wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:03 pm I don't know who programmed but the spectral resonator/time, PitchLoop89 and inspired by nature thing looks interesting as plugins.

They were the only ones that piqued my interest. But the nature ones ultimately probably won't be very useful. Spectral stuff always looks great but usually turn out to be hard work for little benefit. Ha, I'm probably just being a healthy cynictooneba wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:03 pm I don't know who programmed but the spectral resonator/time, PitchLoop89 and inspired by nature thing looks interesting as plugins.

PitchLoop89 is a Robert Henke device, it seems. It does look pretty cool.
Well, first impressions aren't good for me. The new features may well be great and the GUI looks much better but none of that is much use to me when it seems like nothing's changed underneath. I can have all the fancy M4L gizmos in the world but if I don't dare load any of them, what's the point really?
CPU usage is no different as far as I can tell and I tried loading up a few projects that were a struggle to finish due to instability.. They wouldn't even load in 11, the whole thing just crashes.
Yeah, it's a beta and maybe it's unfair loading projects from previous versions but the fact it's behaving the same or worse than 10 in these situations isn't filling me with confidence so far. I'm really pleased I can try it out though because I had a fear of selling my Suite and Push 2 then 11 immediately coming out and adressing the issues I had. At this point all signs point to having the exact same frustrations for the next however many years unless I switch DAWs. I'd really prefer not to have to do that but it seems like I have a decision to make

Over the years of using spectral effects and stuff, I've found out that using spectral effects is just like using Ghost or Carolina peppers. Go easy just to give your sound a little spice, better used subtly in small amountleeleema wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:09 pmSpectral stuff always looks great but usually turn out to be hard work for little benefit. It already lost me with that idiotic thumb TBH. Pretty sure I would have been greeted by some "WHASSUP FELLAS!!! IT'S ME ME ME!!!" kinda guy.

I don't know what vst they have made but I know Robert Henke was co-developer of Live.Neon Breath wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:08 pmRobert Henke programmed PitchLoop89 and the Nature Inspired Instruments/Effects by Dillon Bastan. I just found out PitchLoop89 is m4l... I don't know I would eagerly use it. At least spectral things looks like native.leeleema wrote: Tue Nov 10, 2020 4:09 pm Spectral stuff always looks great but usually turn out to be hard work for little benefit. Ha, I'm probably just being a healthy cynic

Love the piano roll scales and the reverb looks great, not that I really need a new one.
